Good mod, nice idea. Unfortunately its cannibal part seems have an issue. When I add cannibal rank 1 perk, mousing over a corp I see no options to act (just unable quickly take or transfer items from inventory). I still can go into corp's inventory by E and take items. Giving the cannibal perk rank 1 through console appears like I have given rank 2 - there is statement that my protogonist can eat supermutants and hounds. Moreover found no blood packs or human meat. Any ideas what's wrong? I have Horizon 1.8 installed. I tried put the mod before and after Horizon, nothing changes.
I was confused while reading most what you're describing here, since these aren't issues I recognize at all. When you mentioned you have Horizon installed however, it becomes a lot easier to suspect a cause for this problem. While I still have no idea how Horizon itself works or what the specific issue here would be, I do know that it's a complex mod that affects a large portion of the game.
In other words, while I cannot pinpoint exactly what your issue is, I can with relative certainty say that Horizon (or any other advanced mod you may have installed) is the cause for why some features in Night Stalker aren't working as intended in your game.
I don't like the instant death when unprotected during daylight hours, as I'd personally prefer a steady decrease to health (-10 per second, for instance), but everything else looks great. Definitely going to download it. Will certainly free up a spot in my load order and clear out a lot of forms from Atomguard so I can add even more mods.
I actually agree that a gradual health loss would be preferable. I spent quite a lot of time trying a few different variants, but eventually I had to settle with the current method. It is the by far simplest though, both in terms of working with the mod, as well as for compatibility and avoiding glitches.
You might be interested in the new version 2.0, where the instant death has been replaced by intense radiation. I finally managed to figure out how to implement it properly.
It has been tested a lot during development. Testing everything as it's getting implemented is a big part of making a mod. I even dedicated a short playthrough with a new character just to test the mod.
The whole idea with Night Stalker is that with those perks, the player becomes extremely powerful in the dark, but suffers greatly when exposed to daylight. In addition, keep in mind that the mod is designed to be played in Survival Mode. There are additional benefits and drawbacks to take into consideration there.
