ABEONA
DESCRIPTION:
When worn, this ring slows the movement speed of running to walking pace.
But…why?
A very reasonable question. As I use a gamepad, this effectively acts as a toggle like when using the keyboard. One of the best things about using a gamepad is the adaptive joysticks, but I find that they are overly sensitive in Fallout 4, especially in third person, moving the character from walking to jogging to running within a fraction of millimetres.
Now, I could control the gamepad better, however, at walking pace I tend to get too impatient, despite purposefully wanting to slow my experience in some scenarios. This way I can lazily jam the stick right up, and maintain a walking pace for as much time as I feel like.
This mod is highly specific, and you will know if you want to use it or not. If you use a keyboard and mouse, you do not need this.
OPTIONS:
The full version contains unique rings created by Xazomn, with beautiful white gold and diamond textures. As such, this differentiates them from the wedding rings, allowing alternative textures to be interchanged at any time. It’s a nice point of difference, and something I wanted to try.
The lite version contains only an .esp and uses the default wedding ring as a base. As such, any texture replacing the base wedding ring will also affect this
ring.
Both options are flagged as .esl files, however, I wasn't too convinced I should have converted the full version. Please let me know if there are any issues.
INSTALLATION:
- Please select only one option.
- Extract all files from this mod to your Fallout 4 “Data” folder.
KNOWN ISSUES:
From standing still, if you move the stick too quickly, the character will take off at a run before quickly slowing to a walk, as this animation is handled differently. It looks funny, but it is what it is. Simply move the stick slowly to begin walking normally before jamming it further.

Abeona is the Roman goddess of outward journeys and safe passage. Together with her twin sister Adeona, the goddess of safe return, they watch over travellers, protecting them on their journeys, and ensure they return safely.
