I wish I could change the perk requirements. Level 25 before I can make my armor medium or heavy? I'd prefer Armorer 1 for light, 2 for medium, 3 for heavy.

If it is of any interest to anyone, I'm going to be taking a look at this mod soon, and see about making a DLC compatibility patch, although that is very dependent on how in-depth any changes would have to be. I may also implement it for overlooked armors, such as DC guard armor. I am yet to run into any issues having used this mod, but if anyone has any verifiable bugs that need fixing I'll have a look as I go along.

I"ve been having softlock issues in the armor workbench when crafting variants for the vanilla armors, I've already uninstalled and reinstalled and I can't revert saves since I made a lot of progress, plus I've been softlocked in new saves anyway, anyone got any advice?

I wanna reinstall this mod again as i did a clean install of fo4 but after hearing about this issue im kinda skeptical.
did you manage to fix this or figure out what was causing the softlock? :^/

The armor change was so effective in the first image he grew back the hair on his head! Great mod!

So, I can't uninstall this, which, considering it's over-riding 'custom combat armor', is a massive pain in my ass.

Uninstalling it does nothing, with all Combat armor still only having the 'craftable armor size' options.'

    Anyone got any ideas?

One of the mods, it was either Armorsmith Extended or UFO Vanilla Armors/Outfits have a bug/feature that gives an option and makes light/medium/heavy free at the workbench.

I want to turn it off cuz it's infuriating me, but it just might be your cup of tea.

I don't find it hard to obtain armor in this game, it's just taht Bethesda didn't gave us a way to see what tier it really is because the traits on it override "Sturdy" and "Heavy", so it only shows for ex. Muffled Shadowed Whatever, you prexx on 'X' to inspect, and no difference at all... so thanks, for fixing an incomplete part of the game for us.

I don't see how this would be breaking balance. You can get almost a full set of heavy combat armor minus helmet(because it doesn't exist) at level 10. I've done it. Buy the 2 arms from Alexis Combes while hopped up on all sorts of charisma chems and alcohol, then go to the outskirts of Quincy and kill the gunner bosses there. All you would need is quite a few stimpaks and a lot of ammo, but it is very much possible.

actualy you can get power armor at level 1,right after you emerge from vault ... if you know where to go
But else way, i agree with the mod author .. it is good the way it is.
