About this mod
This tutorial explains in depth, all you need to import an armor mod,. Subjects covered include; setup of material files, conversion of meshes including gloves, conversion of the normal maps, creating specular maps, recolors, and setup of the plugin. Included is a pre-built plugin that you can use as a base.

This was written with beginners in mind, but I do touch on some more advanced subjects within. I also had to develop my own methods for the texture work, as well as importing gloves, so this might be an interesting read for veteran modders as well.
While some of the subjects and methods herein have already been covered in other tutorials, as far as I am aware, this is the first time all of these details have been covered in a single pdf. It is not my intention to outshine those other tutorials, but rather, to ensure a fully comprehensive learning experience, without the need to scour the internet.
If there's enough interest I may add more tutorials in the future. My plans are as follows:
- Back-porting to Skyrim, I actually planned to do this at the same time, but due to various distractions I was unable to.
- Add an inanimate object tutorial.
- If I can figure it out, adding physics.
