Does anyone have a list of where each book is? I played through organically the first time, and enjoyed the search. I'm starting up a completionest playthrough and would like to get all of them.
This is a great mod - I love that it gives you tangible benefits but makes you hunt and explore for stuff to earn those benefits.
I've found one incompatibility so far with another mod. Definitely not a bug, both mods work as intended, and probably something that could be solved easily by a patch if someone wanted to make one.
Spoiler:
Show
The copy of Gray's Anatomy in the building by Wildwood Cemetery is covered up by the entrance hatch placed in the same spot by Underground Hideout Basement Settlement
?You can enter console, then enter tcl to turn off collision, and go get the book as it's still there, covered up by the hatch. Or if someone is really motivated or energetic maybe place the book sitting on top of the nearby sink or on top of the bed in the next room. For me it was just easier to tcl.
The one downside is for anyone who hasn't read the location list in the forums tab - they won't know they're missing a book.
Is it possible to remove some of the magazines that require you to join a faction or completion of a part of the main story? that's the only downer imho. Other than that's fantastic work!
Is it safe to switch to ESL from ESP mid game? I did it and the game launched fine but I noticed a book I found (Grays Anatomy) was disappeared from my inventory. I don't mind collecting them again, but I'm wondering if it would brake my save if I had any perks added by the ESP and now I'm switching to ESL?
Thank you for your reply. So I assume it won't cause a crash, if I pick a magazine again which is lost from my inventory, but it's perk was already added. I had reverted back to esp until I heard a response from you, now I will change to ESL thank to your confirmation.
I really like this mod. I love the whole idea of learning new skills(perks) from finding new things to read etc. Thanks for making this.
Have you ever considered making a Special point book thing? Like vanilla Special point Bobbleheads but ...Books! That would be fantastic. Hunt down seven awesome books and put 'em on a display shelf. I would greatly prefer that to Bobbleheads personally.
For that matter, how awesome would it be to have a whole set of books that do what all of the Bobbleheads do. I would find a mod that removes all Bobbleheads from the game and use the books. That would be awesome.

This perk magazine will work with perks overhauls, such as Be Exceptional?

Thank you for all your hard work - would love to see more books in the future if you ever decide to come back to it.
(don't like how so many perks require certain stats - don't want every character to look the same.....).
thank you for sharing.
