Even though Nexus has said it deletes mods submitted to be deleted....that doesn't seem to be true for many mods now. Anyway, as posted below, this is the link to the Flora mod that was submitted to be deleted weeks ago :https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/27630?tab=files&file_id=113774
(true storms) patch here, i found. lol for anyone whos trees are going wild, fixes the wind i think in true storms, shame so many awesome modders left :(
Have you tried using a flamethrower while the mod is active? I read that it might have something to do with a particle limit, or something. Basically flame effects drop in order to make space for the leaf effect, if that makes sense. It's not verified though, so who knows?
Oh wow, I just discovered Flora FX, only for this to pop-up. Works wonderfully.
The og+this is a much more elegant solution to somewhat fix the ugly trees of vanilla, after trying (and disliking) the majority of tree mods this has made me very happy :-)

The leaf density deterred me from using FX Overhaul so this seams like a good solution
