My own version of Cait. I've made her a bit more big boned, with a stronger jaw-line, a more muscular build, and cleaned her up from the vanilla version. I also set her Strength from 5 to 10, because her vanilla carry weight was pathetic.
There are two files: a LooksMenu .json preset that requires LooksMenu to set on any character that doesn't use a pregen face (Such as some settlers, raiders, gunners, etc).
A .esp preset for the NPC Companion Cait.
The LooksMenu version of her uses a hairstyle from: Lots More Female Hairstyles https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10543
If you do not have this hairstyle plugin, the file will still work, but the game will load up a different hair as a replacement. Or may load her as bald.
The .esp Cait replacer is all vanilla assets. For some reason when I used FaceRipper to create the file, it had problems with the hair that were causing infinite load screen when entering the Combat Zone. I've tried sorting the problem out in Xedit, but at the time of release, I still can't get it to work.
I apologize for the incontinuity there, but I don't want to distribute a faulty product.
You do not need both files to make them work. Please feel free to download both, but each of them has a different function. The .esp file only affects the NPC, and does so automaticaly. The LM preset can be used on the player as well as any NPC, but must be applied manually via LooksMenu.
INSTALLATION - Face preset should be downloaded and extracted with your tool of choice; 7zip, Peazip, WinRar, whatever. Then place the Cait by StormWolf.json file in your presets folder. \Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets
The Cait replacer .esp file should be downloaded and extracted and then place the Cait by Stormwolf.esp into your \Fallout 4\Data folder. Then set as active in your load order.
Note: Character presets of this nature are NOT compatible with each other. You cannot run more than one of them at a time. So if you want to use mine, you will have to set any other that you have for Cait as Inactive. Or vice versa.
**FAQ**
Will you make a mod installer version for NMM or Vortex? No. Learn to do things manually.
Will you make a savegame version? No. I play a heavily modded game which may not produce a clean save. However, if anybody chooses to create one based off this character please PM me with a link to your upload and I'll include it here. No permissions are required for savegames, so please don't worry about that, when contacting me.
Will you set her strength back to 5? No, but feel free to do so for your own use. It's a very easy thing to do with Xedit.
Will you release this on Bethesda.net? I myself will not. The .json version preset canNOT be used on consoles. However, anybody that is interested in uploading to Bethesda.net can PM me, and I will send them permission. They can send me a link and I will add it to this page. I will also include the screenshot of the PM in the image sections as proof of permission for the upload.
What version of the game is this for? The header setting for this mod is 0.950000 so it should be compatible with older versions of the game. There is a possibility that it may not be compatible with game version .162 or .163 or later. If you have the mod installed correctly on a later version of the game, and she isn't showing up correctly, install the version check patch. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42497
If I install your Cait character file will I still be able to use LooksMenu presets on her? Yes, certainly!
She doesn't look the same on my screen as she does in the screenshots! Presets are never guaranteed to look the same from one computer to another. There are tons of factors involved, such as different beautifcation mods, different monitor settings, different game settings, ENB settings, all kinds of stuff that can affect how things look in the game.
Why do so many of your screenshots look different? 1) Those that I took in the Combat Zone... well... the color and lighting there SUCKS. So I had to do some PhotoShopping to get the colors and brightness to a decent production level. 2) I suck at screen shots for this game, and my computer isn't the best, so I'm not running any mods for making the terrific beautiful screenshots that others can produce.
