Short Description:

Increases the defense rating for each armor type: Leather, Raider, Metal, Robot, Combat, Synth and Marine
Buffs and rebalances all of their material and lining mods to offer bigger bonuses based on armor type.

Best used with other mods that increase damage and / or game difficulty. Due to how the damage resistance works in Fallout 4, the armor now generally makes everyone take 10-15% less damage from ballistic and energy weapons, and around 20% less damage against grenades and harder hitting weapons.

List of changes:

- Armor defense rating has been changed based on appearance and each type has different bonuses for specific situations.

- Armor defense rating can now be increased to around 400, based on armor type and mods, compared to the vanilla 200.

- Armor Material Mods now allow you to apply Fire, Cryo, Poison and Electric resistances to your armor, not just Energy.

- Armor Lining Mods now generally offer bigger bonuses, but the bonus amount also depends on the type of armor.

- Small changes to armor mod names and their descriptions to show the exact amount and percentage they offer.

- Various changes here and there, with a bunch more coming soon. A spreadsheet with most of the new values is included in the archive.

Compatibility:

This mod only requires Far Harbor and Automatron DLCs, although I recommend you use it with a couple of other mods for an enhanced experience:

Cryolator Does Cryo Damage and Flamer Does Fire Damage | To make some resistances useful, since I haven't changed the damage types yet.

Load this mod AFTER Even Better Mod Descriptions and other similar mods that might change item descriptions, and also AFTER these mods:

Armor and Clothing Overhaul - Patched version for compatibility included as an optional file.

Armorsmith Extended - Will probably require a patch which is under way.

Known Issues

- Cryo Resistance doesn't have an icon, so the armor numbers will appear to offer no bonus.
- The game still keeps the vanilla names for most armor mods when crafted, instead of the new ones.
This is probably because of an INNR record or something that's unknown to me and really difficult to find for some reason...

To-Do List:

- Change Power Armor resistances and mods to offer more variety.
- Buff other armor and clothing pieces, along with unique material and lining mods.
- Introduce armor crafting in some way, likely through the use of AWKCR workbences.
- Change leveled lists to make some enemies stronger based on location and situation.

Suggestions are welcome.
