I uploaded a new version of the complete blueprint, as well as a few smaller versions. Version 1.0.1 removed the Do It Yourshelf - Extra Ammo requirement because, frankly, I'm not sure where you can download it anymore, and I don't think it's been included with the Beth.net version yet. I didn't want to leave this in the file in there since it was causing problems with one of my other imports. There are other mods both here on Nexus and Beth. net that serve a similar purpose to build out your arsenal.

I also uploaded three new optional versions that variously strip out some of the heavier clutter and furniture mods. Read the info on the description page to see what's required for those.

Another option is to pick and choose what you want to use by downloading the Transfer Settlement Blueprint Editor. It's a separate .exe Windows program that runs on your desktop. Just open the JSON file and you can remove whole mods or just specific objects from the build list, and then it'll redo all the calculations and let you save a new file with only the mods and objects you want. It's REALLY cool, and I highly recommend having it if you use Transfer Settlements.

Thanks for the comments, likes and compliments everyone! I'm glad you enjoy. :)

Hello ! I think I need some help because I downloaded every file it wanted me from the Nexus only mods file but some of the things like curtains, seats and MAINLY WALLS didnt get built even when I have every file and is activated maybe is it a problem with my sim ? or did I miss something because I searched on Vortex and found every file and I double checked but still it wont build ONLY those 3 files Homemaker, Just some curtains and Thematic and Practical ! I would LOVE To have thsi castle because my building skill is like -1 567 so I rely on Sim Settlements and I WOULD really LOVE to have this castle... but it appears... something is missing plus it says that they didnt put the walls etc. because of third party things that were not in my Data folder... Thanks for help in advance ! :D

PS: Sorry for my really bad english ! :P

Did the Transfer Settlement completely fail, or did it just skip over the items from those mods? If it just didn't import them, then Transfer Settlements is not seeing those mods are installed for some reason. I used all three of them extensively, but Homemaker is what's used to build the walls. The other two are mostly decorative.

Here's some things we can try:
      - Can you use Homemaker, Thematic and Practical, or Just Curtains and Rods in your game by itself?
      - Did you remember to activate those mods after you installed them?
      - Did it give you any errors on import?
      - Have you been able to successfully import any other settlements? If so, which ones? I'd like to take a look at their requirements and script files to compare.

Hey ! thanks for the quick reply from you ! I did manage to build it and I reinstalled Transfer Settlements and it still didnt imported them but I found it in my Build list but the 2nd try with reinstalled Transfer Settlements and It built like idk. 5-10% of the walls and then it just said skipped third party mods... so yeah... it is kinda bugged... but on the 2nd try Thematic and Practical and Just Curtains and Rods got imported... its just... the Homemaker... so I just used your images to rebuilt the radio building and I needed to redo every electricity because It DID NOT got imported... idk what causes that but I think its my Transfer Settlement not wanting to work with it and I dont know why... but still thanks ! for the quick reply and I checked for the 2nd time and I had all of those mods activated except homemaker so I activated it and it built those 5-10% of the walls... so yeah... I have quite a work ahead ! and VERY BIG THANKS ! :D Nice blueprint ! and hope to see more settlements (if you want to build more ! :D) THANKS ! SO MUCH ! :D

You're welcome! I'm really sorry it didn't work completely. That's so weird. I started a new game and I just cleared out the Castle and I'm about to import it myself (I build one settlement and just keep using them game after game). I have to leave and come back so the Mirelurk carcasses will get cleaned up and the Minutemen will stop shooting at random grass mounds. I'll definitely pay attention to see if I get any errors or problems, and make adjustments I need to before uploading a new version if I need to.

Good news is the walls snap, so hopefully it imported enough to be able to just line them right up. Good luck!

Whoa. This is simply amazing, and your photo tour positively delightful. I just started a new playthrough with Sim Settlements and have been trying to get my arms around it and all of its attendant mods, so I'm a bit intimidated about going a complete other direction here. But it will be quite a while before I get to the Castle... Damn, I may just have to give this and all the required mods a try. It just looks too good.

I'm glad you like! I'm just here to amuse myself really. That anyone else likes what I've done surprises me more than anyone. :D I want to upload a really stripped down version of this castle with half those mods or more cut out. It can't be a vanilla build and still have those walls, but I could reduce the clutter and use some more vanilla replacements for furniture and such. Besides, if you have those clutter mods, half the fun is placing stuff around. It's the structural building that's kind of a drag.

Good luck with Sim Settlements! I've been wanting to try that, but it's kind of intimidating, and I have really terrible game file habits.

I'd be first in line for a stripped down version of this mod. While I'd hate to lose all the fine detail you have here, I'd like to start with just a toe in the pool.

That said, as far as game file management goes, I'm very much in the same boat. I don't even report CTDs or other issues to mod authors because I know it's in all likelihood my own doing. With each CTD, I just think: "Yep, with all the poorly thought mucking around I've been doing with my mods, that was pretty much inevitable."

Cheers, and well done again on a beautiful mod. Looking forward to trying it.

I used the Transfer Settlement Blueprint Editor to reduce the mods down a bunch and uploaded different versions under Optional Files. I wish this tool was something I wish I'd had when I first installed Transfer Settlements. It's an external .exe program you run in Windows that allows you to exclude mods or specific items from the .json file and rebuild it so it doesn't crash on you when you transfer it in. In fact, it's what I"m using to see what all would be left out. I've gotten it down to a bare bones of about 533 items by using various filters to remove stuff.

Either way, hope one of these works for you. Cheers!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. I'm early in this playthrough so it may be a little while until I get to the Castle but I'll definitely be reporting back. Again, many, many thanks.

Love the mod but where's the link for Do It Yourshelf Extra Ammo - ammo containers? The link on the description takes me to only Do It Yourshelf which I already installed.

I only recently switched over from the Nexus version to the Bethesda.net version myself, so I wasn't aware of this when I made the blueprint. However, I think the author has included the DIY Extra Ammo in the regular Do It Yourshelf download on Beth.net.

If you're installing the first time, I think you're good to go. If you're converting from the Nexus version to the Beth.net download, be sure to read this post from the mod author, or it might mess up some stuff: https://bethesda.net/community/topic/364972/do-it-yourshelf-pc-xb1-relz/19?language%5B%5D=en

Alternatively, if it's not included, it won't hurt anything to still import the blueprint. It just skips over those objects if you don't have them installed. Then you can put whatever you want on those shelves.

      Hope this helps!

Give it a while. I'm sure someone will port it over, eventually. Actually, I wish someone would. I'd LOVE to play SMB on my Pip-boy!

Fantastic!! And I loved the tour, LOL. This really looks wonderful, you've put a LOT of work into it!

btw, it involves another mod, but there is a locked door available that only the SS can open. It from Settlement Activity Markers: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20651
There's many useful things there besides target practice and schedules. It would keep one from having to always pick the lock.

Thank you, Kes! Yeah, this is basically an excuse for posting my stupid pics with those comments, and then I thought, hey wait...this could be a legit build. I use Transfer Settlements mostly for myself when going from one game to another if I don't want to spend my story playing time building. But I'm thinking of doing a whole series of "This Old Settlement" blueprints in the same flavor. It's kinda fun and I do like building. Hopefully it's a little entertaining as well.

I have the Settlement Activity Markers, and yes! I forgot all about that door in there! (My favorite thing to use that mod for is the garden...it's so pretty!) But you can't apply the lock arbitrarily to any door, though, just that one door. The big, wooden double doors you get from the Castle in the Homemakers mod aren't locked. (In fact, they auto-open if you have THAT mod, too), but they just fit so nicely into that lovely arched stone doorway. I think there is a mod that will lock any door you want, but my little tip was just a nice mod-free workaround...if you don't mind cheating and hacking the crap out of your game, that is.
