Spectacle Island is normally the settlement given to you to set up the Mercer Safehouse for The Railroad. This is a realistic, lore-friendly railroad safehouse. It supports up to 10 settlers, well defended, and sustains it's own food and water. Provides a medical doctor and a surgery chair to change the appearance of those synths coming in and out.
Nothing needs to be scrapped. I used the existing house and garage/greenhouse exactly the way they were, only adding to what was there. I added a few turrets down by the shipping containers. I also added a razorgrain farm about 30 ft behind the walled off area. The rest of the island is untouched.
Before starting the transfer, make sure to select "Import original items".
The blueprint will show Basement Living as a requirement but you can ignore it.
