Maybe try waiting a few hours and double check to make sure you don't have other mods that change weather.

Amazing weather mod! Created a reshade for it, the results are freezing!

Just wanted to say thank you, after playtesting this weather mod is just gorgeous and fits perfect with the aesthetic I'm trying to go for, basically Disco Elysium style visuals Fallout using F4 Seasons First Frost, Vivid All in One and this simple but lovely winter weather.

Is it safe to switch this on and off? (Disable the mod mid-playthrough I mean.)

Yes that's fine, there's no scripts or anything like that

Sweet, and thanks for the fast reply (I like to change the commonwealth to a winter feel but don't enjoy especially Nuka-World as winter).

Were you able to/did you happen to remove the thunder sounds from the weather while it's snowing? A lot of the other winter weather mods left them in and it's kinda immersion breaking xD

Yes they should all be removed.

That's a great idea to reduce sunlight, I just realised that this is in fact a problem in my game! However I'm currently using both Vivid Weathers Winter and True Storms. Would it be possible to just have that as a plugin?

Sorry I'm not quite sure what you are asking, could you rephrase, thanks.

Sorry I should have clarified, I meant if there could be a plugin of just the reduced sunlight without the change to making all rain be just snow.
Or if not, how did you go about lowering the brightness.

I probably wont do anything like that but if you look at the weathers in xEdit, theres a section called "Sunlight", that's what I changed.

So, I was checking out the Fallout 4 ESM and found some related files to sunlight. Did you change all of them or just particular ones? How far did you reduce it by?

The sunlight changes are in the weathers, take a look at this mod in xEdit to see it.

EDIT: I changed how to mod works and no longer edit the sunlight

    This looks beautiful. Thank you.
Like the rain, does the falling snow still clip into the interiors. Just a hopeful question, I understand it is part of the Game engine?

I believe rain clipping has to do with Ambient Occlusion being enabled/disabled.

Snow will pass through buildings unfortunately, I believe its a engine limitation and cant be fixed.

It's the way the game engine works, yes. Skyrim has the same issue, but there is a mod that fixes it for Skyrim called Real Shelter. Not sure if something similar would be possible for fallout.

If you go to Bethesda site there is a winter mod that lets snow not fall inside. Ambient occlusion needs to be on and you will get a bit coming in still. The author used rain, changed its texture and slowed the speed and direction etc. Its easy to copy. Other mods use the dust particles ect which is not a precipitation type. I think Vivid has updated to use this method too now. It doesn't quite look as good as snow flakes blowing all directions (dust particles) but having the snow indoors is just too much of a deal breaker for me so I prefer it.
