    V1.3 uploaded ! (sorry for the bug with the lllist version, bad esp...now corrected in v1.3.1)

    - Now should be compatible with older fo4 versions (hope so)
    - new materials for the M249 with upgraded textures (black, sand camo and green version)
    - barrel position and front sight position corrected. Less clipping with left hand !
    - barrel stats corrected, now long barrel add some range.
    - stock correction, para stock is now the standard, static will be the best.
    - correction of the white effects on sights reticule
    - A brand new gun : the miniminikov. This custom version is not existing irl but solve the following issues : handling position without clipping, Reload animations fitts perfectly. New mags (round mag with lower ammo capacity 75 .308) .

    Anybody knows if this weapon is affected by the heavy weapons perk or the commando perk?

     i am so inlove with this gun that i spent half a day of my free time learning how to work around mods to clean it up of flags in nifskope so it can be compatible with  classic holstered weapons. i didnt know how to make a patch so i opened up the BA2 file and repacked it with the other files to be its own mod lmao. if anyone needs the ba2 file to make a patch or if you want the alternate mod i made for this to have no skinned flags in nifskope let me know

    i wish the PKM mod for fo4 was good because it was the weapon i loved to use in NV and this character is a continuation of that character. but it has too many skeleton issues in third person. thank you for this awesome mod!

    For some reason using this mod with the pkm makes it use the pkm reload

    Gave it to Preston once and oh man...  This thing absolutely demolishes anything on its business end, with its 70+ damage per shot.
    And half the raider positions have one guy with it, so that goes both ways.

    Think the damage could use a nerf, around 30-50 per shot would be more suitable.

    Hey Sayaheca, since the M249 and minimikov's OMODs reference the same MISC items, it doesn't allow you to reattach attachments to the M249 after crafting something else. To fix this you would need to create new MISC items for the minimikov's OMODs specifically. Different OMODs can't both reference the same MISC items if people want to be able to reattach items they've replaced with something else by crafting.

      I'm working on a patch/fix mod for this now, and so far it works to let me add/remove/add back attachments to both the M249 and Mkov as much as I want.  Will post it once finished.

    I see there is a patch available on Nexus that makes this compatible with New Calibers. Are there other patches available that make this weapon compatible with Weaponsmith Extended? Meaning compatibility for New Calibers, AWKCR, and see-through-scopes.

      Awesome, thank you! For some reason, I didn't see those listed in the "Requirements" section earlier.

      There shouldn't be any issues with See-through-scopes, correct? Just means I can only use the optics options included with this mod? That's fine with me, I usually just used the iron sights anyways.

      Any plans on adding weapon mods to create the Mk46 series?

      I know what you mean. 10 years ago I was knee-deep in development projects, some requiring global travel. Unending hours spent staring at a monitor, converting half of your desktop into a dining table. It can be rough work, but it's usually rewarding. But we all need to take a break every once in a while, just back up and relax for a bit.

      Now here I am, recently retired overseas, starting a new family of my own, and without my precious gaming PC. I'm planning to build a new one, but as you said, family life requires more attention.

      When I was serving in the Infantry, I was an Automatic Rifleman (aka SAW gunner). My M249 was my baby, I loved that gun through good and bad. I honestly do miss that firearm just like I would miss losing a pet or saying goodbye to a childhood friend. Being able to play games like this with the SAW, especially when it visually replicates fairly accurately what my baby looked like, it brings a smile to my face and, not sure how to really explain it, but it brings me a feeling of warmth and happiness. Almost feels like I'm being reunited for a while.

      Thank you for the mods that you have released to the public, and I'm sure many of us look forward to your possible return. Good luck.

      Unless the Fire Team Gunner really knew how to take care of such a finicky weapon, it was  - Bang Bang Jam!  I'll take the M27 over the M249 any day. More, but considerable faster, reloading. Looks like a regular service rifle (it's a modified HK416) so the Gunner is not an instant target. 10 lbs vs 20 lbs. Marine's best friend - Semper Gumby!

    BTW the mesh come from Fallout 3 mod 20th Century Weapons, which is banned

    I think its pretty good, nice and powerful and not hard on less powerful systems. My only real complaint is the spawn rate, level 80ish and seems like half the raiders are carrying it.
