yep everything has to go, once you have the blue print installed you can add your own stuff afterwards.

Hi, listen - please tell me how to avoid layering new textures on old buildings? I did everything as you wrote in the instructions, set everything as it was written - but the textures of your mod are layered on the vanilla, destroyed buildings, and even are built through them. Could you describe which mods to use to eliminate the current vanilla buildings, please?

Basically you need to remove every thing within the build area, rubbish, cars, furniture, clutter and the houses themselves, the hedges, fences, trees ect. I usually use a cleaning mod to help me. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12878 Use this mod to clean up the site this only works for sanctuary for other settlements you will need another mod specific to that settlement. then manually remove everything else with Scrap Everything, make sure you get the latest version that includes DLC compatibility, it can be found here https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5320, and this mod for better and more realistic scrap rewards https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9407. This all needs to be done before adding the blueprint to the game. That is probably why you are still having vanilla objects showing.
