Tips: my mod weapon ICON : just identifying the [weapon name], no ESP required, No weapons required v2.0 Remastered Version is in ESL file format, From now on, I will not make ESP patches, and will no longer support the old version of the game.
::::::2020.9.2 v2.4.1 Important::::::
Please delete all files(patch) of v2.3.
v2.4 Killtips UI Style: [mini (left-top)], [five star]........... Has merged into the MCM menu
v2.2 add Console code for [BPM UI set position]
code :cqf MCM_KILLTIPS SetPos <x> <y>
for example : how to use: press ~ open console , input cqf MCM_KILLTIPS SetPos 40 120 Enter
For those who have problems with the killtips not showing up in the UI, check that you have installed the compatibility patch for HUDFramework and DEF_UI. It's available on the optional files of HUDFramework : https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20309?tab=files It worked with someone.
But in my case, I just notice that I have to turn ON this mod in MCM, otherwise the HUD still vanilla.
PLEASE NOTE! This mod only add kill hit/sound, kill count and heartbeat icon, those HUD icon like ammo, profile picture etc.. which you saw in the screenshot or video is belong to other mod, not this mod.
Here are the full list of mod which the author use in his/her screenshot. EFT HUD: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43176 Companion Status UI Remastered: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42925?tab=posts&BH=0
I checked out the eft hud. It doesn't look like the hud that the author is using? I think the author uses a much more fancy UI than the eft Ui. I still want to find the exact Ui in the screenshot.
Yes- I just did exactly that myself. Just follow my 12 step program. You will need to download B.A.E. and Audacity.
1. Download and install BA2 file extractor https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/78
2. Manual download the mod Kill Tips and Hit Sound (Remastered) from the download section of this page
3. Extract the Kill Tips mod ZIP folder somewhere other than your FO4 folders.
3. Use the B.A.E. BA2 file extractor you just downloaded to open the Kill Tips folder and locate the file "KillTips_by_tooun - Main.BA2"
4. Extract the KillTips_by_tooun - Main.BA2 to a NEW folder, i.e. "KillTips Quiet"
5. Download and install the latest version of Audacity https://www.audacityteam.org/
6. From Audacity go to File > Import > Audio..., (or Ctrl + Shift + i)
7. Navigate to the new extracted KillTips Quiet folder you made in step 4, then Inside this folder, locate Sound > toounx> KILLTIPSbytooun Select ALL the .WAV files you see and import
8. Still within Audacity, click Select > All (or Ctrl + A)
9. Now with all the files selected (highlighted) go to Effects > Amplify
9. By default, the Amplify effect will have a positive (louder) value, you want it to be quieter so set the value to a negative value. I like about -5db, but you can play around with the value and see what you like. EDit > Undo (or Ctrl + Z) to undo a change if you went to quiet. You can isolate playback for a specific track by clicking "Solo" to the left of the audio graph on any track
10. Once the audio levels are satisfactory, go to File > Export > Export Multiple... (or Ctrl+ Shift+ L)
11. Under "Export files to" locate the same extracted Kill Tips > toounx> KILLTIPSbytooun folder where you previously located the .WAV files. Format should be WAV signed 16-bit PCM (though this part might not matter) No format specific options Split files based on: Tracks Name files: Using Label/Track Name CHECK Overwrite existing files (otherwise it will just make copies and this won't work and my writing this tutorial will have been for nothing)
12. Joy
The above process should work for changing ANY FO4 Vanilla or mod sounds.
I did everything perfectly. And so after lowering them each individually do I just drop them all into the folder where KillTips_by_tooun - Main.BA2 is located at? Or should I just delete the Main.BA2 after doing so. And also I used Vortex to download this mod so Idk if I have to do it manually in order for it to work.
@jhonchoo1 You can add the edited sound files as a separate mod with loose files. Just re-zip the folder that was produced by the BSA/BA2 Extractor and add it manually to your mod manager of choice. Alternatively, use CAO - Cathedral Assets Optimizer instead (because you can repack the BSA/BA2 with it and have toounx's plugin use that instead of the mods un-edited archive) If you opt for the loose files method, this should overwrite the original mod (which you could probably just uninstall afterwards) as well as the vanilla gunshot sound files.
Can I set it up that the "Bullet Time" feature get activated when I zoom in with Mouse Right Click or do I have to set a specific key for that? I've tried clicking Right Mouse button, but it doesn't activate the Bullet Time feature.
For those who stuck in mini UI and can't get five star UI works : If you're using MO , just delete the MO2\overwrite\MCM\Settings\KILLTIPSbytooun.ini
This ini file seems keeping overwrite your mod configuration , and can't be changed by MCM once been generated , in this case , deleting it (or change the setting in it ) solves my problem which sticks my mod in mini UI style.
And one more thing , don't use DEF_UI with this mod , it will also keep this mod stick in mini UI style and I havn't figure out what causing this.
I am uninstalling this mod, the bullet time has a permenant effect where everyone is talking slow mo. This occurs even after the bullet time is over. Can't find anyone else having this issue, or a way to resolve it.
Do you by any chance have the player voice pitch mod installed? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30953 Because the mod I linked tends to do that.
I see on left side what enemy i killed with what weapon, i also hear the sound, but i don't get that in top middle icon or whatever to appear, is that activated someone?
