    Version 5.1 released.

Added new attacks and timed Radiant quests from the new Far Harbor DLC.

    1) Due to time constraints, v5.1 contains only a single plugin. No FOMOD menu for now.

    2) Contains alerts for both Settlement attacks and timed Radiant quests, from the vanilla game and all 3 DLCs.

    3) But no spoilers (some of the newly added attacks in the previous DLC rendered the specified type of attackers inaccurate, I'll try to figure out something for the next update)

    4) Because this version supports messages from all 3 DLCs, it also requires that players have all 3 DLCs. If you do not have all 3, please continue using V5.0 for now (it won't have the Far Harbor alerts).

    5) Same version is released on Bethesda.net:
    PC version -
    https://mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/fallout4/mod-detail/991267

    Xbox version -
    https://mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/fallout4/mod-detail/991389

There will likely be no updates over the next 2 weeks.

Added new attacks from the new Wasteland Workshop DLC.

    Notes:
I've added all the 5 new messages (raiders/gunners/mirelurks/super mutants/ghouls) in the new DLC.

If you use the version with spoilers, the alerts will read as "<settlement name> under attack by lured <monster type>!"

The thing is, there are some new attacks that again, do not have their own corresponding messages. Bethesda seems to be using old message types from the vanilla game for a couple of the attacks:

New Dog/Molerat attacks are using the vanilla Spectacle Island Mirelurk alert.
New Deathclaw/Radscorpion/YaoGuai/Insect attacks are using the vanilla Raider01 alert.

So be aware that the monster types for the old "attack by Mirelurks!" and "attack by Raiders!" alerts could also be triggered by other monsters.

(The alerts for "attack by *lured* Mirelurks!" and "attack by *lured* Raiders!" should be accurate though).

Apologies for the slower responses, real life is keeping me busy and I haven't much spare time recently.

Version 4 has been released. contains optional files to support the new settlement attacks introduced in the Automatron DLC.

Let me know if you experience any issues.

Anybody trying this out in 2023? And does it still work? Really needed a better notif system since I could be in the middle of a gun fight and totally not notice the vanilla notifs

It works for me. I suggest also using Settlement Attacks Improved. One notifies you about an attack, and the other prevents the attack until you visit the settlement.

For anyone trying out settlement attack mods in 2024, these are more updated than the previously mentioned:

      • More Attackers - Get Off My Buildzone (*not on nexus* complex scripted mod that prevents settlement attacks from spawning inside even if fast travelling directly, customizable options with notifications, more attackers, more attack markers, etc)

Very helpful mod, because the vanilla info hardly ever appears or ends up in Nirvana. Unfortunately not 100% reliable - I have visited my settlement several times where various things have been damaged, which can only have happened due to an attack in absence.

Doesn't seem to work for me. I still get the vanilla settlement attack warnings. Since I don't have any of the DLCs, U had installed the 5.0 version, as advised.

Is this included in the unofficial patch by any chance?

Looks to me like the latest versions of Workshop Framework or one of the FallUI mods have disabled this gem. Have em all loaded but after the last WSFW update and FallUi updates, Better Settlement Warnings no longer works.

    I'm checking out these two:

    Settlement Attack System
Settlement Attack Spawns Outside Settlement no warning improvement as an alpha build but looking it into it to move spawn markers out of settlements.

Also have a copy of the golden Get Off My Buildzone mod, which was withdrawn last summer by its creator, presumably in anticipation of a Nexus mod policy change. That one wasn't running in this current campaign so I will fire it up and see if it gets my messages back.

as i also running ss2, which req wsfw, it may disable/affect this mod functionality

I have the attention span of a gnat so having to manually dismiss the message makes my life a LOT easier. Thanks!!

As of Sept 2022 this works great for me! Over 100 hrs in with this mod, have the latest version. Have all DLC's downloaded and installed except for high-res texture pack. No other settlement mods were downloaded.

it is no longer working for me now in new playthrough 5 years later with new settlement mods added.
new game. red rocket got hit. no pop-up.

i am also witnessing in every settlement, my turrets, water, and power constantly break down and need repair.
as i walk to a settlement, i use rifle scope to see them working from a distance, then as i get closer they break right in front of my eyes. (i have floating damage mod that shows them each taking a 180 damage hit from nothing)

idk if this mod is related, or a conflict of other mods. Sim Settlements 2. or what...

i am also witnessing in every settlement, my turrets, water, and power constantly break down and need repair.

That is definitely Sim Settlements 2, it allows for things in the settlement to break down unless you disable that feature in MCM.
