My head cannon for this, is that it was a precursor to the power armor that we see if Fallout 4. This mirrors more the style and look from Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. It's worn more like a traditional suit of armor as Fallout 4 does not give us the ability to make armor into faux power armor. I've got more to add lore wise and to clean up the page a bit but I wanted to give everyone out there a chance to try this out! I've also got more armors to come!
