"Old Steady" is a slightly bigger sniper version of the Lever Action Rifle in gunmetal grey.
FEATURES
- With a base damage of 50 it has longer barrels and extended range. Also has a crippling chance enchantment and does 40% more damage to all non-human targets.
- Has a 8-bullet magazine rechambered to .45mm with a possibility to eventually upgrade to .308 and then up to .50 (at Level 50). By that time the damage can get to over 200, depending on the perks collected.
- Can eventually be equipped with steady "Omni-Vision" scopes and a Combat Shotgun - type compensator or suppressor.
- Uses bullet counted reload - well, sort of... Since the longest currently available animations are the vanilla 5-bullet reload sequences, the 6, 7 and 8 bullet reloads use the same 5-bullet reload animation. If somebody makes longer 1'st and 3'rd person reload animations, this can be easily fixed. I don't know how to make or edit existing animations and never will.
The "Fast Hands" perk works fine speeding up the reload of each bullet by 15%.
HOW TO GET
Get it from a suitcase in the Player's Sanctuary Home bedroom.
REQUIREMENTS AND COMPATIBILITY
Requires the "Far Harbor" DLC and F4SE for the counted bullet reload scripts to work.
NOT compatible with bullet counted reload mods for the vanilla Lever Action Rifle - must be due to the difference in magazine capacities.
INSTALLATION AND UNINSTALLATION
Configure Fallout 4 to enable mods, then use a mod manager of your choice.
PERMISSIONS
The extra long Lever Action Rifle barrel mesh was made by NotSure700. He has put no restrictions on its use.
The bullet counted reload was implemented using shavkacagarikia's Guide released as a modder's resource.
All the other non-vanilla assets were made by myself. Please feel free to use those assets in any way that works best for you - no need for any approvals or credits and NO RESTRICTIONS WHATSOEVER. Have fun.
