XBone version now available: https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4134852
Thank you all who endorsed the mod. It was nice to occupy hot files for the entire week despite some... competition... lol.
For the outright location of the 3 free queen bees:
Spoiler:
Show
One is on Dr. Penske's work desk. There are two in your cryo pod in Vault 111, each placed at about knee level.
EDIT: If you're getting random CTD using this mod, try the loose files version. It's worked for THREE users so far.
Next mod will most likely be the glowing Nuka Mix lantern workshop mod mentioned in the description of this mod's page - and shown in the workshop video and a couple of screenshots. It has many different options for hanging the glowing varieties of Nuka mixers (with an increased light intensity for my mod) from ceilings, chains, lamp posts, shack-made posts, wall hooks, and even trees. Animating swinging can chime (like you see in the intro garage), and vanilla lanterns included, as well as a nifty little item from FO76's brew quest that I recreated in FO4 - the rotating Nuka lamp found in the frat house!
This is such an amazingly IMMERSIVE mod works right out of the box (and you can console Queen Bees if anyone is stuck) :)
as I was playing with your mod and assigning a settler... I was ALSO dripping the last Maple Syrup on some toast for breakfast and i thought...
there are MAPLE Trees all over the commonwealth, and as I was placing a large Maple Tree in a hole in a sidewalk in a settlement... I'm CANADAIAN... and this was a Maple tree... and I'm eating Maple syrup and... are you still active MunkySpunk?
Because here is a link to Wikipedia where you can learn all about Maple Trees and Maple syrup to make a Maple Syrup Farming Mod :) Could probley have several jobs... TAPPING the trees, BOILING And purifying the Sap, Throwing boiled sap over snow to make fudge, and of course bottling and exporting the Canadian Maple Syrup... :) mean while I am not only endorsing but also VOTING for you beehives Farming mod thanks alot https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maple_syrup
now everyone knows what a "SUGAR SHACK" is... also from the Wiki page above is the illustration below from 1852 in Quebec Canada showing a "SUGAR SHACK" :)
adding Maple syrup to my shopping list this morning too :)
I'm in Northeast US, not far from one of the Cornell Maple Syrup research branches.
That's a good idea. Where were you when I was making this mod? I don't currently have time to do it, at least by myself. I'll ask a couplke of other modders if they're interested in helping.
If this mod were more immersive, such as the player-character delivering real maple syrup to the player, then this mod might skyrocket in popularity. I am aware bees do not produce maple syrup, but I have a coworker who has his own beehives and brings us honey.
I don't know if you're still paying attention these posts, but this is the bees knees (see what I did there? /cheap joke) Seriously this is right up there with the Chickens and Rabbits mod, bringing the immersion AND bringing back a little nature to the Commonwealth. Thanks for a good thing!
Install SMM before The Beehive mod. If you run the Beehive mod before SMM, you break SMM's ability to incorporate tap, whatever that is.
If you can see the queen in whatever a junk tap is, then my mod tap is installed correctly and the problem lies with your SMM install, either the order you launched or the mod install itself.
I'm playing fallout 4 on next gen and I downloaded the settlement menu manger and then the beehive mod. It's not showing up on the settlement menu. Running it with Sim settlements Three in One mod
Are the free Queens present in the worldspace as mentioned in the sticky post? If they are, then SMM is the issue, if they are not, then you don't have this mod actually installed.
WHAT'S THIS?? A WORLD FULL OF HORRIBLE MUTANT BUGS OF VARIOUS SPECIES, BUT WOEFULLY UNDERPOPULATED BY BEES?? A MOD FULL OF BEES SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THAT!!!
This makes me wish for a mod that replaces various bugs with mutated bees. Replace stingwings with a typical giant bee, replace bloatflies with bumblebees that fire stingers, bloodbugs with bees that make "blood honey" as a result of their stinger being replaced with a mosquito-like proboscis, radroaches and ants with flightless hive drones, ant swarms with more conventional bee swarms, even radscorpions with flightless queen bees that have large stingers on the end of an ovipositor.
Some of those ideas get a bit more odd, I know, but atompunk horror sci-fi is supposed to be odd. This is a franchise that started with freaky things like The Master and centaurs.
Thank you for the loose files version, it stopped all my CTDs. I knew something was sus and on a hunch I came back here. I don't really care about the settlement hunger system, but for ambience they look and sound just perfect. Not too much and nice decorative, natural hives as well. Love it! Thanks!
