About this mod

Cigarette smoke and blazing guns. A smooth combination! This is a performance-friendly ENB designed for gameplay. Just check the pictures. A picture says more than a thousand words! ...Unless you're Takahashi. 4 Presets available.

Upload your screenshots! I like screenshots very much. Also, don't forget to endorse if you like it!

An ENB I made from scratch; Nothing too fancy but hopefully there's something in it for everyone.

I wanted to make something smooth-looking that's also performance-friendly.
Lighting is nicer, DoF won't get in the way of gunplay, performance isn't going to go down the drain, etc.

And best of all: There are 4 different versions available!

Alex's Choice:

Show
This one is pretty much like the Natural Preset but it has a more blue-ish color to it.
In some places, it makes things slightly more vibrant however, without making it unrealistic. I recommend this one if you prefer a more "balanced, realistic" look.

Creamy Moon:
Spoiler:
Show
This Preset is supposed to have a more blue-purple look to it, and is supposed to really make it all a bit "creamier."
The name is a lie though. It doesn't actually make the moon creamy. Or does it?
I recommend this one if you like to have the game a bit more vivid and make it for example seem like you're in a movie, kind of.

Natural:
Spoiler:
Show
The Natural Preset tries to keep any vanilla colors while only making the game look a bit better.
Use this if you want to experience the game for the most part the way Bethesda wanted us to.

Nuclear:

Now, this one was a little bonus. It has quite a bit of green. This results in urban areas looking more dead and destroyed and an overall toxic environment.
I recommend this one if you are more into the whole post-apocalyptic thing. Or just like the color green.

Note:
Keep in mind that I have a different monitor than you (probably).
You can always change the Gamma settings in the ENB to your liking. This ENB will make your Pipboy light useful at nighttime as well! -> Keep on reading a bit further to see an explanation.

Performance:
In terms of performance I've got this to show you. You get about 10%-15% more GPU usage.

First, let's make sure to remove any ENB and Reshade files we might have previously installed for Fallout 4.

1. Step:
Download the latest ENB binaries for Fallout 4 and put the 2 .dll files into your main Fallout 4 folder.
Link: http://enbdev.com/download_mod_fallout4.htm

2. Step:
Extract all of this stuff into your main folder as well and overwrite if asked.

3. Step:
Download and install Reshade. Show the Reshade Installer where the game is and select Direct3D 10+. When asked to download effects, click yes and only download Lumasharpen.fx for the sharpening.
Link: https://reshade.me/

4. Step:
Now we can go in-game and enjoy. You shouldn't need to adjust anything else and all effects should already be applied after selecting my preset in the top bar in the Reshade Overlay that you'll have to go through during the Reshade Tutorial.

5. Step:
The default version is my choice but if you want to use any of the different versions, just download the file and drag it into your Fallout 4 folder and overwrite if asked. You can try any Preset you want like this.

There is also a video linked to this mod page where I explain how you can install this.
Or click me here!

Hint:
Toggle for the ENB is "Shift + F12"
Toggle for the ENB Overlay is "Shift + Enter"
Toggle for the ENB FPS counter is "Num -"

Recommendation:
Open the Reshade settings tab and set the toggle key to "Shift + F12" as well to toggle both the ENB and Reshade on and off at the same time.

Brightness Settings & Options:

(This is an example of the Gamma being too high. Raising the value would fix this.)

This should be compatible with anything. Any Weather mod should work.
Keep in mind though, that this was made without any visual mods except Vivid Weathers. My recommendation is that you pick the "No Brightness Changes" option during the installation if you use Vivid Weathers.

Thanks to Crosire for Reshade and thanks to Boris for providing us with the possibility of making ENBs.
