About this mod

Based on Ragoda's Sluice Of Heaven settlement, this mod makes the water lock at Forest Grove fully functional.
It adds an interior workshop to the Operations room as well.

Changelogs
NEW VERSION 1.3 RELEASED
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :D

Lore:

- Your <insert favorite faction here> troops have restored the water lock at Forest Grove to working order and cleaned up the place a bit.
- The dam has been inspected by Harry (whose great-great-great-great-grandfather held a degree in civil engineering) and deemed structurally sound. Harry assures you that the apparent crack is of a purely superficial nature.

Version 1.3 Features:

- Outdoor settlement w/ supply line support
- Fully functional water lock, including blinkenlights and sound effects
- Supports BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah's Commonwealth Driveable Boats!
- Player and NPCs will float when in the lock while flooding
- Buildable remote control item (Range: 8000 Units) lets you operate the lock without even leaving your boat :D
- 2x Outdoor power outlets (60 power each)
- 2x Outdoor trigger inputs (allows you to wire up custom circuits that control the water lock: Timers, switches, buttons, whatever you like)
- Interior workshop inside Operations room, linked to outdoor settlement
- 1x Indoor power outlet (8 power)
- Built-In Settlement Recruitment Beacon, control panel in the Operations office
- Reactors in Sub-Level D were repaired, radiation hazard therefore removed
- Fixed collision in front of high side gate, no more sinking there
- Fixed North Gate Navmesh (There's a deleted navmesh in the plugin related to this, don't worry about it)
- Fast Travel Mat is now supported

Warnings and Notes:

- Whatever you do, DO NOT scrap the wiring boxes (see images) or you will literally destroy the lock's control logic. This CANNOT be fixed.
- Don't jump or dive into the lock chamber while the lock is flooding. Strong currents will pull you under and you might drown (unless aquaboy/girl).
- If you leave a Driveable Boat unattended in the lock, it won't float while flooding. This is currently a limitation with the Driveable Boats. I spoke to BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah about it. Maybe it'll get fixed some day.
- Operations interior workshop is the grey panel on the consoles next to the operations terminal
- The remote control is an aid item, so you may assign a hotkey for it
- The trigger inputs will cycle the lock whenever they change state (powered->unpowered or vice versa). So, a simple switch or even a button can be used to control the lock by wire. See images for further reference on how to set this up (it's really simple).
- Using the trigger inputs is purely optional. You can also cycle the lock with the LOCK CONTROL buttons.
- The power outlets do not radiate / have no wireless power capability
- If you cannot send settlers there, try moving this mod lower in your load order
- As with all of my settlement mods, previs and precombines are disabled. I know about the water texture glitch, but IDRC ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For the inquisitive mind:

- Two of the small wiring boxes hold the gate controllers for north and south gates. The remaining, small box is the "Pump" controller, which deals with the movable water planes and water related sound effects. The large box contains the sequencing logic for the entire water lock. There's additional logic built into each of the individual doors, mainly to move them and give them sound effects. Each of the beforementioned gate controllers coordinates two of those door controller thingies. The lamps, sirens and buttons also contain some "virtual circuits" pertaining to their functioning.
- Source code for all custom scripts is available as an extra download under Files
- If you're the author of a naval mod and would like to see some integration with the water lock, please contact me

Sluice of Heaven compatibility/upgrade mode:

- This is compatible with the original Sluice of Heaven settlement mod by Ragoda
- Can be used as a slot-in replacement for Ragoda's mod (obviously minus the additional structures that blocked the water lock)

Steps to upgrade:
- Go to Sanctuary
- Make a save and quit game
- DO NOT uninstall Ragoda's sluice mod!
- I REPEAT: DO NOT UNINSTALL RAGODA'S SLUICE OF HEAVEN MOD.
- One more time: DO. NOT. UNINSTALL. RAGODA'S. SLUICE. MOD.
- So you're not going uninstalling Ragoda's mod. What you need to do instead is, you're going to replace it with this mod.
- Thus: Rename Ragoda's TheSluice.ESP to TheSluice.bak
- Rename ForestGroveWaterLock.* to TheSluice.*
- Load game
- Your Settlement at the former Sluice of Heaven will now be known in-game as "Forest Grove Water Lock"
- Go back to the water lock and enjoy!

Known issues:

- Visual glitches: Water in the lock chamber needs a custom NIF w/ collision made  -> Message me if you can help with this! I'll add you to the credits!
- Enabling the Recruitment Beacon for the first time, it will activate immediately but won't show up on PipBoy until you leave the Operations Office (won't fix)
- No SFX inside Operations room so far (later perhaps)
- No supply line access from Operations workshop (won't fix)

Further plans:

- SFX inside operations room
- More elaborate operations terminal
- Traffic lights on both high and low sides, for approaching boats
- A quest for naval trading across the newly opened route (perhaps)
