    FAQ At A Glance

This is a Q/A of commonly asked questions. If you ask anything that could be answered by this list, I WILL NOT respond to your comment. Please read this.

Q - Is the performance heavy?
A - The 2K version will perform the same as vanilla, the 4K version will require obviously be more taxing as it's higher quality.

Q - Is this compatible with 'X' mod?
A- This is just a retexture mod. It's compatible with anything and everything, and even usable with other retextures depending on your load order palcement.

Q - Can you do a loose version?
A - No, this mod contains a ton of HQ textures, and BA2 files allow for faster loading and performance. I advise against unpacking this yourself, however it's not impossible.

Q - Can you do an ESL flagged ESP?
A - No, they're too uncertain of a format for me to be sure I'd be delivering the best user experience.

Q - Are roads and rocks included in the main mod?
A - No, these are simply option addons for those who wish for a fitting retexture of these specific landscape objects.

    Q - Is this lore/art-style friendly?
A- All the textures included follow the original looks of the vanilla ones, but simply boast a less cartoonish and finer appearance than that of vanilla.

Hello all. In an effort to reduce my mod count and try to organize some of my files, I've been thinking of merging some of my other mods into each-other. One of these merges would include my Quintessential Quarries mod being merged in to this one, Natural Landscapes. My logic behind this is that the Quarries are very much part of the "landscape" classification when it comes to Fallout 4, not only having ground textures associated with them, but having entire sections of the map cut out and into. Please take the poll below to voice your opinions on this possible change/merge. If this were to happen Quintessential Quarries would be taken down as a standalone mod. This next (and hopefully final update) will otherwise be focused on minor edits and filling in the few blanks.

The author states that "this is the last landscape mod you will ever need". I have to say, that is an accurate assessment. Looks great and using the 2K version, no hit on the frame rate. Great job Spiffyskytrooper!

Is this compatible with anything that adds green grass? Even Chernobyl has lots of greenery, and that's nowhere near 200 years. And while I'm at it, will running "Peekaboo's Glowing Wild Plants" cause any problems?

      It's just a re-texture, it's compatible and merge-able with literally everything

Thanks, I did get around to installing this. I've been on a FNV run after watching Gopher's updated modding guide for the same. I hadn't realized it was about 10 years from the original. Anyway, thanks again. FO4 looks completely different, thanks to modders like yourself.

It's a texture mod, and a pretty big one at that. The answer is obvious, no?

Amazing work! I started comparing things with the textures I was already using, but stopped after a few because yours were all better. Got some performance too

Is there an article regarding esl flagged esps (esp-fe) being damaging to the game? I've read everywhere that it's okay, but if this is new information, I'd love to read/learn more about it, thanks! :)

I did a quick google search but nothing came up, so I'm assuming maybe this is a new discovery?

The main files are ESL... And to my knowledge, there is absolutely no problem ESL or ESL flagged ESP...other than technical limitations like the amount of records and cant have ESl/ESPs with a master I believe...

    Hey Spiff,

Just curious if I should use this in conjunction with Dilapidated Roads (Faded), Indubitable Ivy (Unhealthy) and Immersive Wasteland Grass or if they are included. Thank you for all of your mods they are pure quality!

Dumb question here - would installing this mod make vivid fallout redundant/incompatable? My assumption is yes, but I thought I'd ask.

    Thanks for making this mod

Does it use the BC7 DDS (fine) texture format or not?

Yes, this (and every texture related thing I make) utilizes BC7
