About this mod

Edits the PowerArmorFXScript so that the explosive effect from the Explosive Vent power armor leg modification only triggers when you are in combat. You will no longer create useless explosions when casually jetpack-hopping around Boston, the explosions only trigger when in combat.

This mod edits the PowerArmorFXScript.psc and PowerArmorFXScript.pex script files to add a condition to the effect of the Explosive Vent leg modification for power armor, so that it only triggers when the player is in combat.

If you have the Explosive Vent modificaiton, it should produce the explosion as normal when you are in combat and make a heavy landing, but when you are out of combat, it should only produce the normal power armor heavy landing impact.

Pretty simple and straightforward really. In addition, it slightly simplifies/optimizes the section of the script concerned with producing impacts/explosions upon heavy landings, allthough that shouldn't make any kind of technical difference.

In terms of compatability, the only real incompatability with this mod would obviously be any other mods that edits the PowerArmorFXScript.psc and PowerArmorFXScript.pex script files. If there is some mod that for whatever reason requires the explosive vent effect to happen in some specific way, that could obviously be a problem, but that seems unlikely.

This is my first dabbling into Papyrus editing, and I'm kind of a lazy dofus in general, so if I somehow managed to mess this whole thing up or overlooked something really obvious, let me know, maybe I'll fix it or something.

The mod also comes with actual source code, which probably wasn't necessary, but it does mean you should be able to tinker further with it yourself if you feel like, go right ahead, I honestly don't mind if you wanna copy some of the code and use it in your own script if there's a reason for it, I only edited a few lines anyway. As long as you don't steal and re-upload the entire mod as-is or whatever.
