About this mod
A small mod renaming many of the weapons to more detailed, lore-friendly names based off of their appearance as related to previous fallout games.
- Permissions and credits
Changes (0.1):
- .44 is now .44 magnum, which is just personal preference. If there is enough outrage over that I'll add an optional file.
- 10mm pistol is now the N80 10mm pistol, which, for the uninitiated, is a older model of 10mm pistol referenced on some terminal or other in fallout 3.
- Assault rifle is now a Browning M2066, as it is most similar to the Browning M1917.
- The Minigun is now a CZ53 Aero Minigun, since they are mounted on vertibirds.
- Changed Knuckles to Brass Knuckles, again personal preference.
- The Institute gun is now the Institute Laser gun, in case you needed clarification.
- Gauss Rifle is now the M69 Gauss Rifle, as the fallout 2 one was a M72 and this one looks like an earlier version of that one.
- Combat rifle is renamed to AK-112 Assault Rifle, since it looks very similar to the fallout 1 assault rifle of the same name.
- Flamer is now a Flambe 600 Flamer, again based off of FO1 and FO2's flamer.
- The Super Sledge is now the Custome Super Sledge, taken verbatim off the wiki. Probably a typo, but I think it sounds cool. "Cuhstomay"
- Revolutionary Sword now Small Sword, as that is what it is.
- Submachine Gun now Thompson M1928, same as in the older games/real life.
Changes (0.5):
- Combat rifle gone from AK-112 to M32 Assault Rifle, on the logic that it is a american army knock-off of the AK-112 based off of their combat shotgun, for whatever reason.
- Gatling Laser is H&K L50 gatling laser, since this one is more advanced than the original ones and H&K obviously had some sort of military contract.
- Laser weapons are now AER9 Lasers, which technically only applies to the rifles. Sorry.
- Plasma Weapons are now X-16 Urban Plasmas, due to their pre-war experimental nature.
Changes (O.6)
- Fixed the laser rifle rifle. Apparently I have trained myself to follow "AER9 Laser" with rifle.
There we go. Feel free to leave a comment explaining how bloody wrong I am at everything.
Plans for future:
- Make it so that different weapon mods give the weapon different model numbers. Any help with that + model suggestions welcome.
- More weapons. Again, suggestions welcome, as I am not exactly a loremaster.
