    Can I start a new game with Start Me Up and this mod active at the same time? Are they compatible?

      Dont know that answer because the hacks made by that mod are not fully documented.

      If you want an ALT start and fast access to the institute consider using Synthetic Player (read full description).

    I've noticed that the shutters are still closed for me when i use this. Is there a way to open them?

      Shutters are nothing to do with this mod.

      The open trigger is in the Institutionalized quest MQ207 startup stage 0 and also in the initial father dialog scene mw206questscript.UpdateIntroductions.

      You can try to fix whatever has messed with the trigger from the console:

      [ Setstage MQ207 0 ] - doubt this will work as MQ207 must already be running so that "run on start" stage has triggered.

      [ cqf MQ207 "mw206questscript.UpdateIntroductions" ]

      The mix of MQ206 and MQ207 is intentional, clearly the developers renumbered the quests and did not update the script names.

    So I hit blow the institute and the screen goes blank and then nothing happens.

    So im having curious now that I want to move onto Far Harbor. Do I have to complete the Unlikely Valentines questline to get there? I have tried to get to park street station and it crashes every time I try to go through the door and sometimes when I get close. Its likely other mod conflicts and not this one but I thought id still bring it up.

      From the description "Any preceding main quests that have been skipped can still be run to recruit Piper, Valentine and kill Kellogg or use SKK Fast Start Reunions to auto complete some of them. "

      Game crashes are typically caused by objects being deleted from the game or corrupt meshes. As this mod "does not change any existing base game scripts, assets or objects." it would be difficult to pin the blame here.

    So just a shot in the dark by the Brotherhood comment in game that you arnt a fan; your shoot em up option makes recruiting dr li impossible because the quest is never triggered and of course you become hostile to the institute. Any recommendations or console commands you could suggest for auto completing the Li BS for us "fascists"?

    Edit: to be more clear the quest "from within" is never triggered but you are to give the network scanner to Ingram on your return to the surface and she mentions that now all you have to do is recruit Li which becomes impossible after the shoot em up option. You dont even get the option to talk to Maxon and tell him she died because the Within quest was never triggered when the other quests were. So officially the BHOS quest line is dead in the water. Logic dictates that of course killing everyone would cause that quest to fail but thats not the problem. The problem is that this mod triggers every quest to get into the institute from the Brotherhood faction excluding the Within quest which appears to be 100% game breaking.

      How is this different from the base game, in which you can shoot a named institute actor at any time (including father at the first meeting) to be kicked out hostile and not complete the institute dependent faction quests ?

      All this mod does is starts Outside the Wire (see picture in the gallery) and then adds the ability to exit the instute without being attacked on the way out, it doesnt change anything else. Starting other BOS quests is not within the capability of this mod.

      Your mod sends you into the institute as expected, and accepts all but ONE quest. You forgot to include it, thats all.. What you did permanently breaks the BoS quest line and its not apparent until after the damage is done. If I chose to enter the institute the long way I would have been given the Within quest just after taking the blank holotape prior and been able to fail it on purpose. Because it wasnt given to me its a quest that cannot fail or complete. Its in limbo and lost. This is in no way that happens in the base game. Its just as important as the holotape quest that you autostart and its not made clear that the quest is not made active when you choose to enter. I dont know if there some sort of miss understanding but Outside the wire and Within are hand and hand. its like having a coefficient and an operator and no constants (whats 1+?=?). Even Ingram assumes that you have the quest active when you turn in the holotape because the two quests get handed out at the same time.

      Edit: If you dont want to push the equally as important 2nd part to outside the wire mission than perhaps make attacking the institute as a BoS player set the stage to 355. Which fails the Dr Li part of Outside the Wire/Within

      Side note, the only reason I chose to cap the mechs was because the count down to safly teleport out was taking decades LOL.

      I have just run the BOS sequence on a vanilla game and it works fine, the script starts both of the relevant quests to enable Ingram and Maxon dialog;

      pBoS203.SetStage(10) ;MQ206bos.1200 - From Within Dr Li
      pBoS204.SetStage(10);MQ206bos.1500 - Objective to terminal

      I am sorry that the mod doesn't work on your configuration, probably due to your coefficients, operators and constants. To advance the quest from within console [ setstage BoS203 30 ]

      Thanks I'll give that a shot tonight. It is worth looking at though, you said it works on a vanilla game. Do you have one supporter that only runs one mod? If your mod indeed pushes both of those states it would be safe to assume that its possibly a script lag issue which will result in random outcomes which progressively get worse the more mods the player has. I'ed imagine a fail safe holotape option for fixing skipped scripts would save some unneeded requests. Whether you accept it or not, I did point out an issue and you are welcome regardless. Then again the minute men dont have a complex quest line so the only two faction plays that can have this issue are the BoS and Railroad but I think the Railroad gives you the synth freedom quest (I dont recall the quest name) after you teleport out. So its probably not even worth an update so its whatever. Thanks for the stageset.

      As it is impossible to test against the billions of configurations that users could present with their mods which hack base game quests and scripts, all SKK mods ever have or ever will promise is that they work with and will not disrupt the base game.I have updated the descripton for the benefit of others:

      (1) If you are running the BOS quest line, there are reported conditions where the the quest BOS203 "From Within" does not advance to target Dr Li. Workaround is to console [ setstage BoS203 30 ]

    How compatible is this with Start Me Up? it changes several of the main quests to remove dialogue related with Shaun

    The quests with Virgil and the Hunter/Hunted quest bugged out in my game... never got the quest to find the courser to activate. thanks to this mod, i was able to get going.
