    I highly recommend using Fall Souls with this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29119
    That way the game doesn't pause itself when being in a menu and time passes by.

      I've been looking for a mod with that function, thank you so much! I wanted more repercussions for navigating menus in a firefight. Always felt silly being able to chug 20 Nuka Colas in a fraction of a second as a raider is about to crack my dome open with a tire iron

    Hey Zorkaz, i have an idea to inject books randomly;

    search e.g. for DummyNoEdit_Minigun;
    Markers\DummyMarkers\DummyXLarge01.nif
    Refernce to Cell:00198E10 which in turn references to LL_Minigun [LVLI:00188A77].

    I think you could use BETHs DummyMarkers logic to replace burnt books, magazines etc. all which fit based on book size with one or multiple markers which place books based on a LVLI.

    Creating a plugin which overrides all the MISC items with NIF dummy markers would cost me a few minutes time, if you need help.. ;)

      Thanks Qrsr. I don't intend to randomize it though ;)

    How did you do this? Is there an instruction for how to put books into the game, and is it easy?
    I have my Dystopian novel Chronologue I'd like to put in the game, and would like to know

      It's easy but cumbersome. If you open my files with the CK or even Xedit you can see that it needs a lot of formatting code. To make things appear in the center or fat...
      Still easier than using Word

      Most of it is still copy and paste though. I'd suggest using my stuff as a template

    Thanks so much for this, and for uploading the materials to make more too! It's a wonderful mod to have in my game, and also a wonderful tool from which to build more. Much appreciated.

    Allo, super swell mod. Do you know where I can find a guide on how to do this? I want to basically do what you did, except add a LOT more books. Basically like the extended lore mod for Skyrim.

      There is no guide but it's not that hard. It's only retexturing and putting text into the books.

    Zorkaz, not to use any of your assets, but could I use your files as a learning guide to make my own books?

    Could it be that this mod messes the Cabot questline? As I am 100 %%. Sure I sided with the Lorenzo in my save and suddenly when I haven’t visited the Cabot house in long time and return to get more of the Serum, there is no Lorenzo there BUT Jack and Emogene and if I console command Lorenzo to my location his body appears..

    And I don’t think I have anything that affects anything from Cabot quest besides this which adds books there and the other mod of yours which adds the toy shroud car in the downstairs.

    Can you investigate?

      It doesn't. It's just a bug

      At least this mod wouldn't touch anything related to the questline. The quest has lots of bugs as it is.
      Also I played the quest through several times with this enabled.

      Ok thx for info. I have only played like Once that questline without any mods so I’m not fully on-board how buggy the questline is. But I do have had lot of problems with that questiline with several mods :( shame, just a great questline  .

    I'd love to see you make a working bookshelf to display these. I'm starting some mods of my own, if I get one working I'll just give it to you for this mod but it might be some time.

      Cool. You might use the bobblehead stand as a template.

      Okay, I'll check it out. I might also dig into the Skyrim CK and see how they did the shelves for that game and see if it's something that could easily be rebuilt for Fallout 4.
