About this mod

Scales combat NPC health, damage, and damage resistance based on player's current level.

Permissions and credits
TL:DR NPCs get stronger as you level, every 10 levels. Hardcore version hurts. (for conflicts and requirements, see bottom)

NPCs in game can be underwhelming at times. After about level 30 or so, the game just starts to get stupidly easy. NPCs become weak and easy to exterminate. Big firefights turn into turkey shoots, and honestly it just stops being fun. Even on the highest difficulty levels, once you pass level 50, the game is a breeze.

There are a few mods that change this, making NPCs stronger, faster, and bigger health sponges. But they do it all at once. Some mods even make the NPCs scale to your level. Which does nothing other than make them immune to the Wasteland Whisperer and Intimidation perks. Good ideas, but still missing something.

So I created this mod. What it does is it takes all the NPCs you are likely to ever fight, or will likely engage in combat on a regular playthrough (regular meaning you don't go around shooting up EVERYTHING you see and alienating the entire commonwealth), and gives them scaling damage resistance, health, and damage output based on the players level. So in essence, you can be in the middle of a fight, kill an enemy, level up to a certain level, and all the NPCs you were fighting will suddenly get stronger. Nasty? Yes. Brutal? At times. But oh so awesome.

The good part is the scaling only occurs every 10 levels. But it starts from the moment you hit level 10. After that point, every 10 levels, ALL combat NPCs will gain a bonus to health, damage resistance, and damage output. This continues to level 100, when they get a rather large boost to all three of those stats. However the scaling stops at 100. Also to make things somewhat more immersive, the scaling changes based on what you're fighting.

Each faction has it's own bonuses that are different from all the others. Some factions will end up stronger than others, and some factions will end up at rather insane levels. Even the minor factions have their own bonuses. Robots and the wasteland creatures weren't left out either. And don't worry, Vertibirds got some loving. They are no longer made of paper, and should be able to survive for longer than 5 seconds after they spawn.

And for the goodie goodies out there, even Settlers and Minutemen will get scaling bonuses based on your level.

Since clarification was asked for in the comments, I'll put it here. Every single NPC you will ever see in combat/fight against has been given some form of scaling buff. Each main faction, each minor faction, all the creatures, more or less everything.

I also made a hardcore version of this mod. It basically doubles all the bonuses that NPCs receive, making some of them quite... obscene. There are also two DLC versions of this mod, a base version, and a hardcore version. They do everything the original mod does, and also give scaling bonuses to all DLC NPCs.

A few notes though: Robots are now very resistant to ballistic weapons. Laser and Institute weapons are your friends against them. Deathclaws and Behemoths are also significantly nastier as well. Highly recommend you don't let them get close enough to melee you.

Requirements: None. This mod was completely made from scratch.

Mod Conflicts: This mod WILL conflict with any other mod that directly alters any NPC records. If you want this mod and another mod to work together, just put this mod above the other mod in load order.

Special thanks to the makers of FO4Edit, without which I would never have been able to make this, or any of my mods for that matter.

Also feel free to check out my other mods:
Enhanced Perks: For those who feel some perks are just boring, here's some adjustments to some of the common ones.
Craftable SPECIAL Books: For those who truly are SPECIAL!
Invisible Armors: For those who want their undergarments... um... ok yeah, you get the idea.
Power Armor Overhaul and Enhancements: For those who love Power Armor! (honestly who doesn't?)
Brotherhood of Steel Overhaul and Enhancements: For those who live by the words "Ad Victorium!" (should be noted, this mod WILL conflict with the NPC scaling mod.)
Unsilenced Suppressors: Because we use GUNS. Not STAPLERS!
