At the suggestion of Tomaz, I am adding mip maps as a main update to the mod. It's a larger file size, but for those having difficulties loading the textures right away at maximum quality, this will slowly load them, and hopefully increase performance. Hopefully this will fix some performance issues that folks have been having.
Just finished a Sim Settlements 2 + FallUI + Settlers of the CW + Tales of the CW + Radio mods playthrough with this patch installed. No issues whatsover.
PhyOP, which is a bigger and more recent texture overhaul ran most of the distance until the last few quests of SS2, but this mod has given me zero trouble. I'm at a point where I have all vanilla story + side stories + DLCs + SS2 story + SS2 side stories + TOCW main story + Most TOCW side stories done. I've basically hunted down every quest I possibly could and done it, except for quests that would kick me out of any faction or destroy a faction. So I'm operators+pack raider boss, minutemen general, institute director, railroad heavy, BOS sentinel, child of atom, etc, and mainly just doing radiant quests as a level 120+.
I''ve had zero issues. It's a testament to how well built/simply built this mod is that it works flawlessly after such a long time. To be honest, I wouldn't have installed it if I had paid attention to the release date of this mod, but now I'm glad I didn't.
I'm embarking on my second playthrough this year (5th playthru overall, 1st one with this mod) with StoryWealth and I'm a little sad that this FPS-enhancing greenery will be missing from my game.
The mod really does lift up the game a lot and it's not so green that it looks lore unfriendly. Good work, author.
good decision or even essential: mipmaps are essential for best image quality, performance and smooth an efficient use of vram. my personal opinion: never use textures without mipmaps if you don't want to destroy best combination of image quality and gaming performance!
I'd LOVE to try this, I hear so much.. But you caution a possible FPS 'hit". It's just a re-color, right?.. So I don't know how that would hurt, can you explain before I download? It seems like it should not affect anything, so I'm confused.. THANKS!

Simple but that was all it needed to be!
Great work!
Thanks!
