Just download the bat file into the same directory as fallout4.exe, then use the console to type "bat lighting" without the quotes.

This is just general information I got by searching for a solution, then modifying it to fit my needs and what I believe the best settings are. I turned that info into a bat file. That's it.

For those of you have have had problems with Darker Nights or other mods that promise to make Fo4 darker, or for those that would rather just use the console than add another mod for this ...
You can type this as a console command - shp 4.0,0.02,0.02,0.65,0.2,0.3,1.5,3.6,2.0
I created a bat file for you to download. And as with most bat files, it goes in the same directory as fallout4.exe.
You just download it to your fallout directory, then when you start a new game or even when you load a saved game, you hit ~ to open the console and type "bat lights" without the quotes.
The 6th number, 0.3 is the one that's changed and creates the affect. You can change that up or down until you get what you want by just opening the bat file and changing it. Higher numbers are darker and lower numbers are lighter.
As far as I know, this works with or without all DLCs. I have them all and it works great for me.
I'll try to get some images to add, but seriously, just try it. If you don't like what you see, change the 6th number up or down until you get exactly what you're looking for. You can change it anytime.
I'd love to see you upload some before and after screens to show how you tweaked it to get your own custom feel.
Thanks goes out to QBit71 for adding images and more info on how to tweak the file for your own use.
