Im currently doing some troubleshooting, but whenever i apply this patch it makes plots cost nothing and also i cant seem to harvest any crops any more from agricultural plots. I removed this patch and i was able to harvest again, but then the plots recipe requirements appeareed but became broken with Packing material being (outdated). So i cant win either way :D

EDIT: I basically went into FO4Edit and deleted all changes to the "Flora". Im hoping this fixes it as i want to be able to harvest the crops, as the "surplus" mechanic was not working and i wasnt getting any crops into the workshop despite making way more than needed.

This is just a "balance" patch. Not "compatible" patch.
It just tweak some data so Sim Settlements would not so "OP" in Horizon.
Meanwhile, it wouldn't fix any compatible problem between Sim Settlements and Horizon.
It's not outdated or buggy. Just not the thing you expected.

This is outdated and causes a lot of minor issues. I do not recommend to use this unless it gets an update.

To make farms not harvestable by hand is a bad idea. It just makes the player use the standard one-plant vanilla "farm" items instead of the Sim Settlements farm.
Also there are some minor issues with the wheelchair and assigning settlers to plots (see below).

One thing I noticed that doesn't go along well is:
-If you assign a settler to a Horizon "food" or "guard" duty job plot then they will unassign if you try to assign them to a SS residental plot. And vica versa.
-Other job plots seem to work well alongside SS residental plots

Although a minor issue, Horizon's Medical Service Wheelchair does not recognize the doctor plot.

I too would like to know. Is this patch for basic sim Settlements and not for the other expansions like Rise and Industrial revolution?

Is it possible to patch the agricultural plots to let Horizon recognize the assigned settlers as farmers?

When assigning settlers to the high-yield crops found in the Architect workshop menu (Example: Corn Patch Row), Horizon recognizes them as farmers and gives them role-appropriate outfits, in the same way it does with guards, technicians, doctors, etc.

I'm hoping to achieve the same effect with Sim Settlement agricultural and security plots, but I've only looked at the agricultural plots so far.

You see for some reason, my settlers can't be assigned to Sim Settlements residential plots and Horizon job furniture at the same time. At first, it looks like it works, but the next time I visit such a settlement, those settlers have lost either their home or job assignments. So now I'm going with Sim Settlements to handle everything assignment-related, and I'm trying to integrate it more with Horizon.

Your patches have been invaluable so far in helping these two amazing mods to work together better. Thanks a bunch for releasing them.

The second problem you mention (settlers lose assignments) seems to be a larger problem than just with Horizon job stations. With Sim Settlements and Horizon both loaded, settlers lose one of their assignments whenever we "cross the beams" by assigning to a settler to both a plot and a non-plot, like a vanilla farmable plant and an SS residence. Sometimes they lose the old assignment immediately, sometimes only after a cell reload. I wouldn't be surprised if a fix for that overlaps with a fix for the first problem you mentioned (Horizon's outfitter system not recognizing SS plot assignments).

This is a few months old and all, but this would be a really good improvement to the feel of our settlements.
Basically the same as the doctors and vendors patch to let farmers dress up all nice and give Horizon whatever data it needs or is it more complicated than that?

      Plans? No.

      Vague musings? Yes.

It will likely happen the next time I try to play a full play through of fallout 4.
