I've been staring at the abomination I created and never touched after the first update for awhile...Elysios's Settlement Mechanics with More Plants is what I called it...frankly it's been a thorn in my side that I never improved on it. It was a one-off for me and it needed to be updated. Parts of it were good, parts of it were bad, too much of it was super cheaty. This is my new flavor, my true flavor. Not all the changes in this one you might appreciate but I tried to bring back the fun of managing a settlement as opposed to making them little more than radiant quests. Some of this is more difficult, some of it is easier...most of it is more realistic, and hopefully you'll enjoy. Please, provide your feedback and inform me of any issues you are having. I'd also love to hear what you think would be a great addition.
For now, this version does not touch any DLC items, but that will definitely change. For your convenience, I have included both an ESP version and an ESL version and will always maintain a Vanilla edition for those who still don't have all the DLC. Below is a list of the changes.
1. Turrets that previously required power cables now use passive power. Plop a pylon down near your turrets and they'll start right up with deadly effect and minimal eye-sore.
2. All passive power nodes (switches, pylons, connectors, etc.) now have an increased radius by 50%.
3. Generator output has been changed slightly to be more realistic in comparison with actual values and my own personal taste. Power output changed for small(3>4), medium(5>6), and windmill(3>5) generators. Large generator has not changed.
4. Water purifiers slightly edited for realism. Small purifier now requires 5 power, but provides 10 water. Large purifier still requires 10 power, but only provides 20 water.
5. Added bloodleaf, hubflower, and silt bean recipes to be used as food sources.
The following is my current worklist.
1. Add missing plants and all wild plants to recipe list with proper menu icons.
2. Re-evaluate safety outputs for turrets and guardposts in comparison with balance and realism while keeping similar functionality.
3. Re-evaluate food outputs for plants as compared to size and type of plant.
