Changelogs
"Simple Power Armour Colours" aims to add a few simple options for power armour paints. No dependencies, no framework mods required.

1.1a - hotfix:
  • Just a small fix for the ESP, removed the erroneous dependency message. (If you currently have v1.1 and don't want to redownload 200MB, there's an ESP only file under "Miscellaneous files" that contains all the changes needed.)

1.1 - colour fixes:
  • Fixed an issue with T51 arms not colouring completely.
  • Changed some colours slightly: Chrome should be shinier now. Brown, yellow, and blue paints are a bit lighter.

1.0 - initial release:
  • 12 colours (black, blue, brown, chrome, green, orange, pink, purple, red, tan, white, yellow), all the creation club "rainbow" bundle colours (plus brown). Works for T45, T51, T60, and X01.

Future plans:
  • Currently the textures also recolour the hoses, bolts, etc that vanilla paints don't colour. This is because I'm literally just overlaying a colour onto the default textures. Eventually I want to streamline my process so that I can recolour the textures in more detail.
  • More colours (gold, silver, maybe light versions of colours, pastels?)
  • I'd like to have the torso paint recolour the jetpack as well, but since that's not vanilla functionality I'll have to look into that separately.

Known bugs:
  • "SPAC Brown" doesn't automatically label PA parts as "Brown ..." because there's no keyword for that color. If anyone knows how to add this functionality let me know.
  • Jetpack doesn't change colour withe the torso piece. Not really a bug, as this is consistent with vanilla Fallout 4, but I'm looking into including that in future updates.

Installation and uninstallation:
Automatic installtion/uninstallation:
Any Fallout 4 mod manager (Vortex, Nexus Mod Manager, etc) should handle installing and uninstalling correctly.
Manual installation:
Extract the downloaded file to the fallout 4 data folder:
..\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data
Manual uninstallation:
Delete the "SPAC.esp" file in Fallout 4\Data and delete the "SPAC" folders inside Fallout 4\Data\materials folder, and Fallout 4\Data\textures.
Fun fact: the chrome textures are completely black, and the s.DDS specular files have the green channel inverted. That's what makes it shiny. Weird.
