Tactical Throwing Weapons

Mod adds six new throwing weapons, to confound, baffle and befuddle, bother and perturb, amaze and amuse, and finally discombobulate your enemies. (thank you online thesaurus) All are crafted at the chembench and have their own category to keep things neat.

No DLC required. Please check out the vidya to see the mod in action and to get a better idea.

Bowling Ball Mine


The bowling ball mine can be thrown further and around corners, although on uneven ground it will roll. It has the same power as a frag mine. It's crafting recipe will need a bowling ball, however in vanilla there's only 56 bowling balls in the world, so I made a recipe to craft normal bowling balls, so you can craft the mine version as many as you like. Just needs plastic. BB's normally weigh 8, the mines weigh 4, reasoning being you hollow them out. Yeah they'd still be quite heavy but 8 is still too heavy for me, so 4 as I want them to be worth using.

Sticky Bomb

Got the idea for these from reading up on, let's say, unconventinal weapons used in WWII. Also based the look on that design, well as far as I could using game assets anyway. So they stick to walls (doesn't work throwing them directly onto NPCs unfortunately, can't figure out why) and take a little longer to explode, 3 seconds. Same power as frag grenades.

Throwing Net

Quite proud of this one. I used to play Titan Quest a lot, one weapon is a throwing net which entangles enemies. Somehow I managed to get something like it working in Fallout 4 and here it is. They don't stop in their tracks as such, it's just the paralysis effect which freezes them in whatever pose they were in when hit. Please ignore the fact that it looks like they're wearing a fishnet body suit while entangled. Effect lasts only 10 seconds, after which they'll Houdini and proceed to eat your face. Won't work on anything with the immunetoparalysis keyword, which includes large creatures, robots/turrets, Power Armour......and bugs for some reason.

Barbed Throwing Net

Same as the throwing net, 'cept it has hooks on it and will bleed things for 10 seconds while entangled.

Vial of Acid

A vial ( or jar, whatever. Jar of Acid didn't have the same ring to it) of acid that can be thrown on the ground. It's more or less the same effect the Mirelurk Queens spit out. Only it broils on the ground longer for 30 seconds. Anything walking over it will get caught in its effect, which is acidic damage for 20 seconds. It's possible the same enemy may walk over it twice, (with any luck) and if killed under the effect will dissolve into a puddle of goo. When thrown it's possible another piece will get thrown out for 2 pools of acid on the ground, widening the effected area.

Vial of Oil

Another vial, this time with oil inside. When thrown an oil patch will form on the ground which, when shot at, will ignite and fire will burn. And like the acid anything walking over it will suffer its effects. So you need something to ignite it. The oil pool itself will remian on the ground for one minute so you don't have to shoot right away, wait until something gets near it. The fire itself will burn on the ground for 40 seconds, anything caught in it will burn for 20 seconds. Again it's possible more will get thrown out and produce more oil on the ground.

Each item will need its own perk to craft, shown in screenshots. Tried to make each perk fit each weapon.

I'm open to suggestions about adjustments, too powerful, not enough...etc? Their crafting requirements.

Installation

Use NMM or throw both file into your data folder and activate with your choice of mod manager.
