Why not just patch the P90 to use the already existing 5.7 ammo from FN Five-seven? Literally just wondering, I'm no gun nut. New Calibers adds in too many ammo types imo xD

True, and I can do it if you want me to. Will only take me a couple of hours to do. I do like the batch build when using the ammo crafting table though (500 rounds each batch).

Let me know if you want that and I'll get it done.

No worries dude I can sort that myself without an .esp. Do similar tweaks all the time. Just can't share that kinda thing because im editing the base esp. I just don't know if that kinda bullet is 'canon' for the gun or not. I don't know guns hah. I'm definitely going to tweak my game with this idea though. Gives more purpose to that ammo type. I'm sure other people will definitely like an esp though. The thing is if I remember correctly, the 5.7 ammo type doesn't spawn in the world with levelled lists actually. You have to craft it I think. That could be an issue.

It is canon for the P90 and FN57 to use the same round as both firearms were developed together to be a complete platform. Heard 2 stories about the development. 1 was that the US army wanted a new firearm to arm their rear echelon/support troops with, the other was NATO requested it. I know the 5.7x28 mm round drops in game if you have New Calibers installed, but I haven't seen the 5.7mm round drop. I haven't removed that round from FN Five-seveN so it should still be in game just not available as a round that can be crafted if this patch is installed.

you are mostly correct, the P90 (Fabrique Nationale project 90) was designed because NATO wanted a gun to arm the rear echelon/support/mechanics with. they required a firearm and cartridge capable of penetrating several layers of Kevlar and some other stuff. they also required a handgun chambered in the same round to go with the pdw, FN created the P90 and Five-seveN, competing with HK's mp7 in the end the P90 and Five-seveN came out on top but Germany vetoed its adoption because they were salty (HK is a German company)

Sorry, kind of strayed away from Fallout 4, so haven't been paying attention. I would need to reinstall F)4 to have a look.
