there are 2 options how the quest starts: 1: if you never uninstalled Project Phoenix after you completed everything, it will automatically start 2: if not, then you will need to finish project phoenix quest series. once you are done, you have to wait 24 hours for Lt. Smithy to approach the Commonwealth, you receive a notification.

2 reasons why this is not done yet: first, i need further testing on it, like what happens if you already installed mod 1 and deactivate it and install the merged plugin? there should be some recommendation from my side. secondly, as there will be a third part, i actually planned to merge the complete story in one, once the third part, act 5 respectively, is completed.
brown face bug: should be fixed by version 1.2; still according to online documentation, it seems, like i would need to have a second computer to ensure 100% working. thus, please let me know, whether this still occurs.
Amazing mod. Was able to finish it. Really good job, also the story is original and interesting.
(I had a minor bug/glitch when delivering the quest "Help SD-100", I wasn't able to answer/talk to him after I collected all the missing components for the turrents. The solution was to re-load the game.)
I tried reloading the game, recycleactor (resetting it's AI), Disable + Enable, nothing worked and i cant talk to him. Im at the part "Find someone to talk to" and i helped him with getting all his parts. It might be due to the fact that i did noclip into the "hidden area" early because i was running around during the "lets teleport" looking how to restart the teleportation sequence, but still, i've tried everything. I dont know what to do so any suggestions would be a great amount of help.
i think due to noclipping and triggers (that shouldnt fire yet) and quest modifications and other console commands, you might have messed up certain conditions and quest stages.
After transporting there is a large, white, glowing, diamond shaped object that blocks my view - I can see, somewhat, around it through the 'rays' of the object. At first I thought this intentional but I'm sure this was not one of a permanent design. This mod has been spectacular up until now. Hopefully you can provide a remedy for this.

Well, as I re-read the description, you mention 'Donescus' so I guess I should have included his name - regardless, if memory serves (which it frequently does not in my case :) ) just after I use the transporter to the far West side of the map, the 'diamond' shows up and the difficulty to proceed occurs. I was able to go further but when in a smaller area it's near impossible to see what I'm doing. Up until that time the mod has worked flawlessly.
Not sure what I did after the elevators but I'm now at an area where I can choose to leave or stay and go on. I do have a screenshot but don't see how to post it.
So...I went back to Donascus body area, took the elevator again and saw no blue boxes (however the 'diamond' obstructed my vision). Literally ran into two emergency capsules, one noted as Greygarden - stumbled around a bit and took the other and ended up at the location - starting with 'P'. 'Diamond still bright and shiny.
hey there, i really have no idea what "diamond shaped object" this could be. there is nothing added like that, nor any other stuff that might lead to something like this. there is only an elevator leading to another cell...and yes, i was talking about those emergency capsules:) sorry to hear, but i do not think i could solve this. however, reached the end of first mod, and the second one should start anyway, as the condition it needs you already meet.
Yes, the next one starts but the diamond persists. So I chose another quest (go to Preston to let him know x quest was completed). The diamond is still there so the game is ruined. Sadly, I'll have to delete the mods. But other than the intrusive light your mods are terrific.
Enjoyed also part two of your quest mod. Worked flawless. Can't wait for a next part. Your both quest mods can definitely compete with vanilla quests. :-)

PS: I love the retexture of the armors and weapons as well as the new flag. I've made a Sector V settlement with all the stuff I found.
Excellent mod! Waited a long time to finish it due to some computer issues, then another game occupied me for a while. Definitely worth downloading. If you like to collect armor and weapons and then scrap them for materials, there is no shortage here. The final battle left knee deep piles of bodies and plenty to scavenge. I kind of wish the follower could be permanent though, since I loved the accent. The only thing I had go wrong is that I had collected two nice suits of the power armor and left them at the Red Rocket. When I returned after finishing the quest they had disappeared. No biggie, since I have 10 other suits of PA. All in all, a very enjoyable quest mod. Thank you, and endorsed!
thank you so much! related to red rocket: i believe this might be related to the very well known cell reset bug, but i could be wrong. and yeah, finishing off (since a few months now...) the 3 part of the series in which smithy will return:D

anyway, this mod only works with part one, there you also find the files only in "old file" section
