To open the paints needed complete next quests: BoS - Fire Support Institute - The Molecular Level (need just teleport to Institute in this quest) Minuteman General - Taking Independence Minuteman - When Freedom Calls Railroad - Road to Freedom
Whenever I reload this thing the sound is... bugged. It comes twice but so fast the effect is more akin to an echo. If I remember correctly this is a weird vanilla bug, isn't it? Does anyone know how to fix it?
I have the same problem. Have you found a way to deal with it?
EDIT: In general, I solved this problem like this: I downloaded another mod from the author (Bogey-7210), unpacked the Main archives of both mods and simply replaced all the sound files with the postscript "bolt" from Viper with similar sound files from Bogey.

This would make the .45 Caliber, with x10 Burst fun but costly. For Late Levels
I love the mod, but it gets superseded by better weapons, such as the Gauss Rifle, and 2 Shot Weapons at level 40. Where everything has huge amounts of Health. Gauss Rifle does 365 Damage, each shot. Enemy Health can be over 1,000.
I've love to see some later game additions, to make it the weapon to keep. Light and Powerful.

You realize you're asking for a mid-sized caliber pistol to match a damned gauss rifle in firepower, right? If you're so interested in having it be overpowered, just go and edit the stats yourself - xEdit might seem intimidating but you only need to change a single value (Damage) in the Weapon data node, and Bob's your uncle. Either way, the weapon is fine as is for normal users, and the .45 variant not having burst fire is a trade-off that makes sense and works a lot better than it just being 'better'.
Did lots of testing, hundreds of Hours of testing. At level 50, the Viper is only good for scrapping.
It's a brilliant gun for early game, but like any other pistol, cannot take down stuff with over a 1,000 Hit Points.
As for making Weapons, I already do make weapons. I've been making them for 5 Years, they are just hidden in mods, as Bonus items, or not published.
My Brahmin Whacker Weapon, is my favourite melee weapon. Getting stronger, the more stats you have. Able to take down anything, with your x10 sneak bonus. You've just got to get close enough to use it... But takes some serious exploring to find it, with no clues.
I like to ask the mod authors, if they want to make the mod first. It's a request to the mod author, which you are not...
If they refuse, I then make it for myself. I only publish about 1% of my mods, on multiple games.
I always ask nicely, adding my reasons for possible ideas...
I usually say not to bother replying to my post, if they are not interested. The author did not reply to my post, so they are not interested.
I do not take offence to no replies to my posts, I get ideas. Pitch them, and then leave. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...
I was shocked to find the unique variant in the satellite array was [REDACTED], and actually found myself going through every single entry in the holotape to learn about it, especially to why the name matched another item with that same number.
