FAQ: Q: Incompatibilities? A: Yes and no. When you first install this mod, it will carry over all of your settings (the ones covered by this mod). Allowing you to disable ESP, that were there only for those settings. If you install a mod after this mod and it adjusts settings, that this mod covers, they are not applied, they get ignored. Why? All settings are saved&handled within the script and get applied on game load or using the MCM Menu.
Q: How to reset all settings to the hardcoded ones? The original ones or other set by mods? A: Load your save, go to GCM -> Mod Settings -> Apply settings on load set it to Off, Get settings on load to ON and save. Restart Fallout 4 and load your save. All values have been reverted. Go back to GCM -> Mod Settings -> Apply settings on load set it to ON and Get settings on load to OFF
Q: How do I update? A: Just overwrite. If the update brings new settings, that an other mod covers, the values will be carried over and you can disable the other mod and get some free space for new ESPs
Q: My menu is not displaying / values are not working. A: Make sure installed the correct version of MCM & F4SE (MCM 1.10 is the minimum version needed for this mod.)
Q: My settings are not saved and / or why are my settings at 0 ? A: If you suffer from such an issue, it means, that the F4SE scripts are not correctly detected by your game. This can have several issues: Solution 1: Make sure, you correctly installed F4SE. F4SE comes with a Data-Folder, this folder contains all the necessary scripts, this mod needs in order to work correctly. Solution 2: If you are using MO2, make sure your Fallout 4 installation and MO2 are on the same drive installed. Otherwise, MO2 may have issues and fails to load the game files. Solution 3: Try to run the game as administrator.
Can you add something to this mod? the treasure hunt quest that drops notes on dead npcs to find something stashed somewhere usually in far harbor after just getting to cambridge because beth is like that... can you add an option to turn that crap off or restrict the locations in those notes to the commonwealth until the player has actually been to other places? Really it would be best to have just an on/off thing for that whole quest. The only things with notes should be other quests like the intervention note or the pickman notes or the dead mail man with letters is fine. I really hate finding 15 to 20 dead npcs with misc quest notes in their inventory and they don't despawn until the quests are completed.
You're talking about "Keep Radiants in the Commonwealth" mod. There's several different versions of this, actually, so search for the one that works best for you. Yes, it would be awesome to have it on an in-game MCM menu, but since that's fairly unlikely at this point, your best bet is to hunt down the alternatives.
Thank you for this awesome mod. Is there any chance that I could persuade you to add an option to increase or decrease the amount of ammo different enemies carry? It would be a great boon for those of us that enjoy having npc's use ammo, but don't want turrets and robots running dry. Thanks again
Will this mod allow me to turn off the XP awarded for building out settlements? I want to go a bit nuts with a few of them but don't want it to affect my character's progress.
I might be blind and apologies if so, but is there a good baseline that most people are happy with when it comes to the power armor settings through this mod? Obviously I want to be a walking tank but I don’t want to brush of mini nukes like they were nothing.
I installed this just to modify cleared cell - resets. A quick question: As itself this mod does not not do anything, right? Nothing changes in the game until I start messing with the sliders? The answer is likely in the 51 pages of replies, but since we can't use search anymore..
I was wondering if there was a document which gives in depth descriptions for each setting. This Sneak menu has me a bit confused if I'm being perfectly honest…
I would like to know this as well. It's a shame there's no documentation or explanation on some of the settings, but I guess some of them aren't exactly well known as what they affect.
Edit: Ah, a little searching back through the comments, and I managed to find another comment that links over to this mod that includes some descriptions of what some of the variables do. I might recommend making note of where the settings start out for those that don't include any notation of the default setting so that if something goes really wrong when changing the settings, you can change them back to default before trying again.
I was having the issue that the MCM settings for incoming/outgoing damage were not saved when i loaded back my saved game. None of the here described workarounds worked.
What did work, was: excluding the folder where the modlist and MO2 are installed from Windows Defender. After that, the settings persisted into the saved game.
A lot of people complaining they see all options at 0 or it does not save or that is a fault of F4SE not properly installed.
i had this problem too, but it's solved now.
the problem seems related with not "enabling the loading of loose files" properly. but the method there, was a bit incomplete or outdated for my problem.
i had to search a lot to fix it and along the way, seems that there where different methods to enable the loading of loose files.
the fixes i did, to solve the problem for me , with this mod and a bunch of other mods was :
1 - Navigate to your Fallout 4 Folder at the following location "Documents\My Games\Fallout4" 2 - Open (or create, if missing) Fallout4Custom.ini 3 - Add the following lines to your Fallout4Custom.ini and Fallout4.ini (and maybe alsoFallout4Prefs.ini )
- If that doesn't completely fix it for you, try adding the following lines to the : 3 - Fallout4Prefs.ini file:
[Launcher]: bEnableFileSelection=1
You actually need to edit 2 files or maybe 3 (i forgot i changed 3 and it worked). it should work now .
if you need to do it with Mod Organiser 2 , you can go to : the tabs : Tools -> Tools Plugins -> INI Editor and you will find those files there too. i preferred manually because i could not search the [Archive] reference on the Fallout4.ini file.
My setting was resetting every time I load up fallout 4... Don't know how this one setting help--- [Launcher]: bEnableFileSelection=1 wouldn't have even think about that .... had the other 2 setting done.. added this and now my setting are saved.. Your a life saver. THX
I have Tried everything that has been recommended here. Still does not work, But upon installing this caused me other issues. So had to un-install just to revert the issues caused.
I have a suggestion for a variable. Radiant power! As mods have been made to increase the radius of a connector and/or power pole (or have generators also have a radiant, well, radius) I can promise you it's a function folks will thank you for.

Thanks again
How do I would I set up the mod to do that?
