Copyright/permissions information:
All songs within this mod are songs from Diamond City Radio from Fallout 4. The original track artists gave permission to BGS to use their song/s in Fallout 4. This mod simply allows the same songs to be played on Radio Freedom (Minutemen Radio). I no way intend or intended to steal other people's work.
If you are wishing to use the song files from this mod in another mod, you are allowed to as long as the mod is for Fallout 4. The track artists only gave BGS the permission to use their songs within Fallout 4, not any other game.
Installation
Automatically through NMM:
Click the "Install through NMM" button on the mod page or files page, and install as normal through the mod manager.
If you run into any problems, un-install the mod through the mod manager and install it again MANUALLY.
Manually:
Drag and drop the files from the Data folder INSIDE THE .RAR into your Fallout 4 Data folder, normally located at:
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data)
Then make sure to enable the .esp plugin of the mod via NMM or the Mods menu in Fallout 4. If this is not enabled, the mod won't load into the game!
Here is a video tutorial detailing how to install it manually:
Un-Installation
Uninstall through mod manager, making sure the .esp plugin is disabled. Delete all song files within Data/sound/fx/mus/Minutemen
FAQ:
Q: Will I still get announcements and settlement alerts?
A: Yes, announcements and settlement alerts are in no way affected by this mod. You will still get them, this mod only changes the music that is played.
Q: Why does it only have 11 songs from Diamond City Radio, why not the full 20?
A: Radio Freedom has been scripted to only play 11 songs. Unless this can be changed in the future, it will have to stay like this. Sorry.
Q: Why is the mod so big?
I apologise for the big file size, I was surprised when I first saw it. The Creation Kit only supports .WAV files, which are bigger than your standard .mp3 files. Each song is around 20-30mb, and there is 11 songs. Plus the ESP and other files, this all adds up to the big file size. I will try find ways to compress it more, and will upload it in the future.
Q: Will you post this on Bethesda.net for other PC and Xbox users?
Yes, I am looking into posting this mod to Bethesda.net for PC and Xbox. Just give me time :)
