If you like Fallout 76, that's fine. But many people, myself included, felt that Bethesda was trolling us with their whole #SavePlayerOne campaign when they came out with a game that was for anyone but offline, single players.

This YouTube video goes more indepth into my concerns about Fallout 76 and what I'm afraid it will mean for the future of modding, and the franchise's future in general. I think his thoughts on the matter pretty well match mine for the most part, so I will leave a link to it here for you to copy and paste into your browser's address bar. (For some reason, I can't seem to embed the video in the description page)  :

As I said, If you like Fallout 76, great. If you like the fact that it's online, also great, or if it most likely won't have mods outside of Creation Club, fine.

But most of us who always enjoyed being able to explore a vast wasteland without having to deal with other players and have actual NPC's with engaging dialogue and a rich, well told story won't be getting another game like that for at least another 3-5 years, so please forgive us if we don't share your opinion and/or enthusiasm for Fallout 76.

I will add one more thing. I hope I'm wrong about the future of modding, and the future of Fallout after Fallout 76. History will either prove me right or wrong, hopefully it will be the latter.

EDIT 6/13 :  New main file that features an animated Fallout 76 killing off Player One meme, enjoy! :) (Original version with Bethesda killing off mods meme can still be downloaded in the optional files section)
