I mean other companions like Codsworth is also making constandly sounds, but that's because he is a robot with cicuits and a large nozzle propulsion. But this f***ing Dogmeat is just endless annoying! In addition every of his sounds are ridicolous loud- yea even his footsteps sounding like your companion is actually a horse. Betestha should have rather tweaked this in their gunsounds since these are weirdly sounding like cheap popguns or airsoft guns without any mods...
It's like he is in a nonstop soundloop all the time- "wimper, whining, wimper, whining" nonstop without any breaks in between- I never heard any dog doing this constandly nonstop endless time without any reason, no matter if running or just standing around, NONSTOP!... Really liked Dogmeat in FO3 and even this Rex in New Vegas. But in here I hate it. In addition if "he found something", which is just a stupid box which inherits a pipegun, he is barking at it as long until you took it. * And this becomes especially so extremely annoying if you just being busy and building something at the workbench, that's the point which makes me finally throw grenades or blasting the minigun at him to shut him up!!!

any way to add back the barking and only the barking? I have two German shepherds of my own and I hate how much they whine but I dont mind the barking. plus not hearing dogmeat at all is a little bland
Can someone please tell me what part of these sounds are the ones from him alerting me he found something. it makes me want to punch my screen because everywhere i go he wont stop bugging me to look.
I have no problem with dogs and I am pretty sure someone at Bethesda hates dogs and intentionally chose that sound set and frequency.. Many thanks for the mod!
I can't thank you enough for this mod. I couldn't use Dogmeat because I have some sort of OCD or something where his noises were making me want to rip my hair out. Now I have my puppy companion and all is right in the Commonwealth! Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this! It allowed me to identify the one sound that had bothered from the start: Dogmeat's yawn. It sounds like a cheap robotic toy (yeah, he totally is a synth) and it took me a long while until I even identified him as the source of it. I kept expecting some robot or early gen synth to jump out at me.
This will be such an amazing change! Sometimes it really is the little things.
