Working to fix ASAP

=======================================

IMPORTANT:

This is currently a W.I.P. and is in early-Alpha stages.
It is currently only being uploaded/updated for testing services. Please understand if you are not on the mod's testing team.
A door to the Empire Wastes is TENTATIVELY in the river East of Sanctuary.

Also, this mod is unrelated to the Fallout New Vegas mod of a similar name. That mod was made by Mlucci4036. There are no story overlaps with his mod.

What is this mod?
This mod takes you out of the Commonwealth, and brings you to the Empire Wastes; the once grand metropolis of New York City.

(This mod takes place 10 years after my Fallout 3 Mod, and is related tangentially. It is not required to play Into the Ark before Empire Wastelands, but is recommended to fully understand all references)

Explore the city!
  • Explore the entire Island of Manhattan. From FDR Drive on the East coast to  12th Ave on the West, and from 125th St. to the North, all the way to the South Tip, you have an entire Island at your disposal.
See the sights!
  • While many of the neighborhoods and individual buildings have changed dramatically from our real-world counterpart, many of the famous monuments are available to see! Or at least, what's left of them.
  • Come visit landmarks (or their equivalents) such as the Empire State Building, the Flatiron Building, and many more.
  • Awe at the many monuments such as those found at Madison Park, and other historic parks.
  • Find new, post-divergence landmark locations like the Manhattan Nuclear Power Plant, Planned Diversion Programing HQ, or the Heniton Cable Tower

Meet the locals!

  • From established communities, to traveling merchants, to raider societies, and everything in between; the Empire Wastes has a dynamic and varied society that rivals that of the prewar times.
  • Meet the people of Manhattan, whether it be a civilized oasis, or raider towns. Expect a new kind of raider in Manhattan; one who doesn't shoot you on sight, but still gets your last cap. (And also some of those who do just shoot you on sight, but that's besides the point)
  • Planned for 21 friendly and unfriendly towns/settlements in Manhattan alone, and additional 14 planned for outside Manhattan, there is plenty to do, meet, and see. Each settlement has their own personality and dynamic, so explore them all!
  • Interactions with one town will not only affect them, but the surrounding towns as well, so be careful who you help or you just might tip the power balance.

Stake a claim!
  • Get a piece of the New York life with 3 unique settlements open for you to build up. Your first settlement is found very early on in the questline, and the other two are available as you explore.
  • Player Settlements can be found in the Central Park Zoo, Union Square, and Governors Island

What Does This Mod Change?
In the spirit of my previous mod, it does not change much in the commonwealth with two minor changes and one secret detail.
  • It will add a new Radio Station, which you will be prompted to investigate.
  • It will add a vertibird close to the Atom Cats Garage, parked on top of an old shipping crate.

The mod is otherwise entirely done in the new world space, and does not greatly affect your commonwealth experience, unless you bring some of Manhattan back with you, in the form of new Companions, Perks, Weapons, Aid, etc.

There should be no radial quests that will send you to the Manhattan wastes. If you ever do find yourself being sent to Manhattan outside of the quests in the mod, please let me know.

What Does This Mod Add?
The new world space is inhabited with new enemy types, new settler factions, new towns and settlements, new enemy factions, new weapons, new aid items, new misc. items, and new perks.

And of course, an entirely new quest line with branching paths, and as much RPG elements as I can shove into it. (I'm not currently utilizing the expanded dialog system, so I am limited in that regard) There will also be plenty of side quests, random events, flavor texts, visual storytelling, and lore to discover outside the main quest!

To avoid too many spoilers, specific details will be available separately, which I will link here when I have them compiled. Things such as quests, factions, weapons, etc., so keep an eye out for that listing in the future.

How Much is Available Now?
Right now, the city is still 'under construction' with some areas completely fleshed out and navmeshed, but with most other areas currently a barren landscape with little to no editing. I'm creating this mod on my own, so it takes a long time. I thank you all for your patience. I promise an entire Island complete; and more to come.
