I was a bit miffed by the fact that Fallout 4 doesn't have some kind of stun grenade - something that gives you a temporary upper hand in combat, or allows you to get the hell away from whatever is trying to tear your throat out. So I decided to make my own. Paralysis Grenades and Mines will release a cloud of paralyzing gas, paralyzing (who'd have guessed) whatever is caught in the explosion.

By default anything that is robotic, synthetic or wearing a power armor helmet will resist the paralysis. During installation you can choose whether or not gas masks also provide immunity; this can be extended to the Marine Armor Helmet from Far Harbor. Also configurable is the duration of the paralysis; you can choose either 10 seconds, 20 seconds or 30 seconds.

The grenades and mines have been added to leveled lists via script, so expect to find them as loot and being sold by merchants once you reach level 15. They can also be crafted at a chemistry station like any other grenade/mine.


Installation


The mod uses a scripted fomod installer to allow you to very easily make the configurations mentioned above. For this reason I highly recommend using a mod manager for installation. Should you choose to install manually, a readme file is included in the archive with installation instructions.


Conflicts

Only the vanilla game's gas masks will provide immunity if that option is chosen during installation; gas masks added by other mods will not be affected. Furthermore, any changes made to vanilla gas masks by other mods will conflict. The exception is the Marine Armor Helmet. Creating a merged patch for your load order may resolve any conflicts.
