Nice. I used the warn version of the original myself. It's slightly different than the Vanilla, having no center stripe and a thicker white border. But I think it looks better with the changes.

If anyone's wondering, a stack should have 100 bills in it. Original stacks are 20, so its $2,000 per pre-war money stack. Now you can find out how much you have laying around. Also fun fact, the warn $1 stacks from this mod would make the pre-war money more like the Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas stacks, as those were (as far as I can tell from the blurry appearance and Blue band) stacks of $1. However since Red is the color for 20 in Fallout opposed to Purple IRL, its possible the Fallout 3/NV Blue band isn't $1. Not sure.

For some reason I wanted to know if it was a $1 in Fo3/NV, just for fun. I pulled the Fallout 3/NV texture of the Pre-War money, and despite it being a 128x128 highly pixalated mess to make out, it doesn't have the silhouette of a $1 bill. It looks more similar to a 1950's style $20 bill with (for some reason) a Blue band. So I guess it would make more sense to use the warn IRL $20 version, but with a blue band if you wanted to make it look Fallout 3/NV-ish for whatever reason.

It's literally four steps! It will take you at most, 2 minutes. How can anyone be this lazy!?

      I'll post it for you.

      1. Drag and drop the meshes folder into your data folder

      2. Open the denominations folder

      3. Open a denomination (Such as $20)

      4. Drag and drop the textures folder into your Fallout 4 Data folder

I doubt this will be a mod you will regret installing, since it's a huge improvement over vanilla.

Manual install took less than a minute. Learn where your Data folder is and it's easy. I use NMM for most FO4 mods, but some mods are worth manual install.

The same argument can be used the other way around - too lazy to implement nmm.

I actually put more thought into whether I wanted to DL this than I should have simply because there was no NMM support. But with it being the best (and almost only) lore friendly retexture and doesn't just make it like a real $20, I had to at least give it a try. NMM support would probably do a lot of good.

NMM support would literally only require packing it into a 7z instead of rar. Which is why I just did it myself...

Are you using two different textures at the same time in some of those screenshots? Is that using the new mesh with some of them turned over, maybe?

Different texture on the two sides of the mesh. Looks great ingame when you kick around huge piles of cash :D

I just wanted to point out for anyone who decides not to DL this because it doesn't have a "Download NMM" button. I just downloaded the file, opened it, repackaged my chosen denomination into another .rar file, walked my dog, and installed WITH NMM, within about 5 minutes. If you're unsure how to do this, here's how.

    1. Download this mod to your desktop and extract the contents.
    2. Once opened, you will see a folder named "Denominations", a folder named "meshes", and a README. Move the "meshes" folder into the "Denominations' folder.
    3. Choose the denomination you want used in your game and move the "meshes" folder into that chosen denominations folder.
    4. Open the denominations folder you chose. You should have a "textures" folder and the "meshes" folder you just put in there. While holding the "ctrl" key on your keyboard, click both of these folders so they're both highlighted.
    5. Right click in the highlighted area to bring up an options window and select "Add to Archive". Name this archive whatever you like and place it on your desktop.
    6. Open Nexus Mod Manager, click the green + to "Add Mod from File", and navigate to your desktop to select the archive you just created.
From here, just activate as you would any other mod.

These 6 steps should take no longer than 5 minutes.

Hey, did you do this for Fallout 3 as well? I LOVED that mesh/texture for the money! I recognize the style.
Very Awesome! Kudos and Endorse pending

For those of you who cannot drag/drop 2 simple little files into your game directory: I truly pity you. If those steps you struggle with, please stop "modding" your games.

Why should a simple re-texture need a NMM installer?
Come on people. It's only TWO files to put in :

    Data/Texture/Props/Money_Prewar_d.dds
    Data/Meshes/Props/Money_Prewar.nif

No, because the download archive has all options in one file. Please install it manually, it's only 3 steps.

I really don't want to upload an individual file for each denomination, only to make it compatible with NMM.

I don't think this is a mod you'll regret installing, it's a big improvement over vanilla.

Perhaps a fomod installer with all options would make life easier.

Also it would be better to have the psd template separate from the main file, as most won't use it and it's then an unnecessary file size they have to download to get the textures.

True, Fomod installer would be 10 times better.
You should either make your installation steps a lot clearer. Or kindly make that Fomod NMM file for everyone else

Mine seem to be messing up. Texture isn't lining up right with both files in place.

Did you follow the instructions specifically? What version did you use and what denomination? (For example, worn out $20 bill)

      Can you upload a picture?

      I'll go over the instructions.

Drag and drop the meshes folder into your Fallout 4 data folder.

Open the denominations folder, open which one you want to use. (such as $20)

Drag and drop the textures folder into your Fallout 4 data folder. (the textures folder being inside $20, or any other denomination)

That should be it, I did test it before I uploaded it.

I'll try and help as best as I can.

Thanks for the new update. It seems to be messed up for me, though. Looks like a mesh problem or something.:\

Did you read the read me? You must read the instructions carefully. You can't just drop a texture, you also need the new mesh.

      Send me a picture
