Removed the long stocks and barrels.
Added the Institute and Vault-Tec CC skins.
Added the scope and see-through scope from the Makeshift Anti-Materiel Rifle. Tape is back, and with the ability to change the color from green, to blue and beige. You can also change the reticle from four choices.
Added a craftable .30-06 ammo and the ability to change ammo at a weapons workbench.
Separate firing sounds from the hunting rifle. The Pedersen Device and Can Opener also has unique sounds.
Version V1.2.5
Fixed the missing materials/textures
Reduced weapon speed. (I've been using Hitmans anims, which is slow compared to others.)
Gunner skin should work. (Dont know why it did't work before.) All I did was change the descrption info in the CK
Version V1.2
New scopes, receivers and a new stock has been added. Semi-auto conversion, "Pedersen Device", the Air Service Rifle and the Weaver scopes. The Can Opener .50 BMG has been added.
A new tab for changing materials and a damage modifier has been added. Wood, polymer and CC weapon skins have been added.
The mosin.esm has been cleaned of everything not relevevant for making the animation and sounds work.
New wood textures for the stock. Looks much more dinged and scratched.
The M1903 and the can opener has been added into a new weapon tab in the chemistry station. See main page or read me for more details on perk requirements.
To get the rifle, craft it at a chemistry station, or open the console and search help M1903 4 weap, and use the player.additem ## to get the rifle or mod an existing hunting rifle. You will need a fair amount of resources, and four level 1 perks: rifleman, blacksmith, armorer and gun nut. The can opener is level two of the same perks, and twice the resources. So start scrounging, or scrapping.
There is also a semi-automatic version that you can make, if you get tired of a bolt action rifle. Alternatively, tou can make a Pedersen Device like apparatus, and fling .30 Lounge ammo at your enemies. The ammo is added to the leveled lists, though it is somewhat rare, so use it sparingly. New in this version is a proprietary .30-60 ammo and the ability to change the ammo loadout at a workbench.
Now all CC factions are included so you can change the look of the weapon to suit your character's loyalty.
I have removed the old, longer barrel and stocks. You will now only have the original sized stocks, and the barrels are now shared between the A1 and A3 variants of the rifle. This mod now also has a unnique firing sound, completely separate from the hunting rifle. The Pedersen Device as well as the Can Opener have their own sounds as well.
I have added back taped stocks, and the ability to change the color of the tape. Thanks AsXax and ShoeBurglar!
I have moved the camera on the iron sights back, for more authentic feel, makes it a bit harder to aim. Also new in this version is a see-through scope that has a reticle that is changeable. You get the choice between a fine cross, a duplex cross, a german style reticle, and a T-post reticle. All drawn be myself and positioned perfectly for maximum presicion. After all, the M1903 is famous as a very accurate rifle.
You will need a right handed mod for the hunting rifle, there are currently five good mods:
Retextures that will benefit this mod: Humble Hunting Rifle: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24642 Hunting Rifle Retextures: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7364
There is an optional version that is slaved to the Mosin-Nagant mod, and uses the reload animations from that mod. Just copy the contents of the folder MosinAnims into your data folder and choose yes to replace any files.
You can get it here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23258
The new sounds are now in a separate folder, just read the text file to proper install the sound files.
