This is not a guide and definitely not a "collection"...
Considering there are no ultimate definitions for modding these are my preferences. Search, try and enjoy your time in the wasteland!

An enhanced alternative for a journey that works well in first players or the ones exploring the wasteland once again keeping the dramatic and comical feeling this world always offered. Long time fan of the series, I intend to not totally dismiss the actual game mechanics keeping a lore friendly content by achieving a more interesting and challenging experience.

Consciousness and other concerns!
"I don’t mind the dirt. I do mind unannounced visits."
- Its required to have a legit copy of Fallout 4 and all DLCs (DO NOT install Bethesda's DLC - High Resolution Texture Pack).
- A new\clean game installation (outside of any Windows UAC folder directories).
- Most is covered within WttL but consider checking System Setup Guide for more detailed preparation for modding.
- The One Video You NEED to Watch Before Modding Fallout 4 (Intro to Modding Fallout 4) for more complex and interesting explanations!
- It is crucial to have a proper load order for the game stability and full cooperation between mods.
- Mods should be arranged as they are listed to ensure the intended result and proper compatibility.
- Descriptions can be relative. This is just how I want my game!
- The way to understand any mod is by the modder’s page information and not by me or any other mod list compilation author.
- Review your system potential for advantages and\or limitations. Logically it will depend on you the final configurations for your needs.

Before proceding run the game from the official launcher. This will generate necessary ini files and detect folder paths for important tools.

- Mod Organizer 2 - Choose an instance. Follow instructions and when MO2 opens click yes when asked to register. You may need to login with Nexus account. Define then your settings and Profile and get ready to start the madness!
- F04Edit - Extract files in your favorite work place and make sure to add both FO4Edit and FO4EditQuickAutoClean executables to MO2 system. Take the chance to clean DLCs plugins.
- xLODGen - Extract files in your favorite work place and inside create a new folder called "xLODGen_Output".
- Cathedral Assets Optimizer - Extract files in your favorite work place.
- Bethini Pie (Performance INI Editor) - Extract files in your favorite work place and then add executable to MO2. Run the tool and select Fallout 4. Make sure the game path location is correct and the one for ini points to something like Documents\MyGames\Fallout4.

- ENBSeries - Extract ONLY d3d11.dll, d3dcompiler_46e.dll, enblocal.ini and enbseries.ini from WrapperVersion folder into your Fallout 4 root directory.
- REACTOR - A Fallout 4 ENB - Manually extract files inside "[Fallout 4] Folder" into your Fallout 4 root directory.
If you don't want to use ENBs at all you may be interested in Fallout 4 Enhanced Color Correction. It increase the quality of the colors and contrast in the game without performance impact and a few different options to pick from. Give it a try!
As a last recommendation I strongly advise to check on LOD Generation Instructions article by DoubleYouC. The author explains in detail the subject in question with all the requirements and instructions to achieve the best results. "This improves visuals and eliminates pop-in of objects at very little performance cost". It is a completely optional process but you won't be disappointed!
