This mod is great for people that use flashlight mods, it removes that dynamic shadow that's often messed up because of the light spawning from behind the player.
Would you allow a port for xbox with all the due credits?
Eck !! Some interior look like crap cuz of this mod. Why you do this to me? No conflicts. Just look bad. Keep thinking my pipboy light on, but it this mod. Too bright.
Deliver the fps it promisse and dont touch anything. I doubt people that use enhanced lights mods will even hear about this mod, so this mod can be considered conflict free.
To everyone saying inside was no problem, bullshit, go to the assembly plant and head into the top room with all those lights up there and watch your frames drop.
Are you using any other lighting mods? It sounds like it could be a conflict. Keep in mind this mod only disables shadows from light sources, so if something other than the shadows are causing performance issues, this mod won't really help.
I installed 4 mods, and then one of my memory failures, which is not necessarily related to the mod, not necessarily related to the game, maybe the memory itself or something. Maybe the software exposes the shortcomings of the hardware?
I can actually make my way through Vault 114 without sneaking at the slowest pace now! Plus many other too-bright places are now smoother to navigate.
I installed this on a save where I was inside of Vault 81. Before I installed this, I could barely move. I kept failing at following Austin around because my frame-rate was zigzagging like crazy.
Once I loaded my save with this added to the game, I could not only get through the quest, but also felt confident enough to start and finish a couple of others. I am on a computer that is well below the system requirements for something like Fallout 4, so I do not expect things to be easy, but installing this made a huge difference.
If anyone is in a similar situation, I recommend using Light Sources Do Not Cast Dynamic Shadows along side of these other fine modifications for even more FPS-saving sanity:
Thank you. This fixed my indoor fps issue. I'm playing on a handheld gpd win2, which uses the intel hd 620. In a particular indoor area i went from 13-14 to 20-22 fps. It doesn't sound like a lot but that's the difference between playable and not. That particular area was just really bad.
When the fps is in the low teens, it's just impossible to aim or interact with stuff. When it's up in the 20s and 30s, the game is actually playable. So i'm using mods to squeeze as much FPS out of it as i can. Now if i had a new GPD win3 with the intel Xe graphics i could play at high and get 60fps without the need for performance mods.
