This is a small mod that replaces the Diamond City Radio songs. Namely, it replaces the more Rockabilly, novelty, and Country-esque tunes with music by dance orchestras and pop singers. Most are rather up-tempo, with that old-time charm that contrasts nicely with the game. This mod is completely tailored to my own personal tastes, but others may like it.

Songs replaced are:

  • Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On - Big Maybelle
  • Sixty Minute Man - Billy Ward
  • Rocket 69 - Connie Allen
  • The Wanderer - Dion
  • The Wandererxxx - Dion (second file, for some reason, but replaced regardless)
  • Keep-a Knockin' - Louis Jordan
  • Orange Coloured Sky - Nat King Cole
  • Right Behind You, Baby - Ray Smith
  • The End of the Word - Skeeter Davis
  • Atom Bomb Baby - The Five Stars
  • Worry, Worry, Worry - The Three Suns
  • Uranium Rock - Warren Smith
  • Grandma Plays the Numbers - Wynonie Harris
  • Crawl Out Through the Fallout - Sheldon Allman
  • Uranium Fever - Elton Britt
  • It's A Man - Betty Hutton
  • He's A Demon - Betty Hutton
  • Mighty, Mighty Man - Roy Brown
  • Butcher Pete Pt. 2 - Roy Brown
  • Good Rockin' Tonight - Roy Brown
  • One More Tomorrow - Franke Carle

Replaced with:

  • (I Love You) From Coast to Coast - Chick Bullock
  • The Panic is On - Connie Boswell
  • Dance With A Dolly - Marilyn Maxwell
  • I Don't Care if the Sun Don't Shine - Dean Martin
  • Saturday Night - Frankie Masters Orchestra
  • I May Be Wrong - Tony Martin
  • Gotta Have Your Love - Ina Ray Hutton Orchestra
  • Handful of Stars - Ina Ray Hutton Orchestra
  • Mr. Jones (Are You Coming to Bed?) - Ambrose Orchestra
  • My Heart is a Hobo - Bing Crosby
  • On the Atchison, Topeka, and the Santa Fe - The Andrews Sisters
  • I'd Love to Take Orders From You - Phil Harris Orchestra
  • Sing For Your Supper - Carroll Gibbons Orchestra
  • You're Double Lovely - Bing Crosby
  • Oh, You Nasty Man - Frances Langford
  • Goodnight, My Love - Phil Harris Orchestra
  • Swing High, Swing Low - Phil Harris Orchestra
  • Swingin' On the Reservation - Chick Webb Orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald
  • One, Two, Button Your Shoe - Bing Crosby
  • Ace in the Hole - Dorothy Lamour and the Crew Chiefs
  • My Future Star - Alice Faye

Magnolia songs have been changed as well:

  • Baby, It's Just You
  • Good Neighbour
  • I'm the One You're Looking For
  • Man Enough
  • Train, Train

Have been replaced with:

  • Snootie Little Cutie - Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Frank Sinatra, Pied Pipers
  • Jump, Jump is Here - Red Norvo Orchestra, Mildred Bailey
  • Let's Dream this One Out - Frankie Masters Orchestra
  • We Go Well Together - Dick Todd
  • Love Me A Little, Little - Ginny Simms

All other songs are kept in. Some recordings are transcribed from my own record collection, while others are sourced from old radio transcriptions also from my collection or from Archive.org.  They are quite old, so the fidelity is obviously not perfect. I feel they fit well with the other tunes; but, again, this may not be everyone's cup of tea.

This was based using the file list from Custom Radio Music mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/255/?).

---UPDATE---

Figured out how to change Magnolia songs on the radio. All her songs have been changed (EXCEPT the tunes she sings "live"):

Baby, It's Just You
Good Neighbour
I'm the One You're Looking For
Man Enough
Train, Train

Have been replaced with:

Snootie Little Cutie - Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Frank Sinatra, Pied Pipers
Jump, Jump is Here - Red Norvo Orchestra, Mildred Bailey
Let's Dream this One Out - Frankie Masters Orchestra
We Go Well Together - Dick Todd
Love Me A Little, Little - Ginny Simms

These are all sourced from my own record collection, save for the Tommy Dorsey tune which is from an old broadcast. You won't hear these until you meet Magnolia in-game. Then she has the audacity to squeeze her music into the Diamond City list.

I also replaced a few more songs on the radio to change things up. Songs replaced are:

It's A Man - Betty Hutton
He's A Demon - Betty Hutton
Mighty, Mighty Man - Roy Brown
Butcher Pete Pt. 2 - Roy Brown
Good Rockin' Tonight - Roy Brown
One More Tomorrow - Franke Carle

Replaced with:

Goodnight, My Love - Phil Harris Orchestra
Swing High, Swing Low - Phil Harris Orchestra
Swingin' On the Reservation - Chick Webb Orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald
One, Two, Button Your Shoe - Bing Crosby
Ace in the Hole - Dorothy Lamour and the Crew Chiefs
My Future Star - Alice Faye

I love Betty Hutton, but the game plays her songs often enough, coupled with the fact that they aren't her best, that I needed to change them. Again, all optional if you don't agree. Four out of these six come from my own collection.

---INSTALLATION---

1. Unpack the archive and drop the Sound folder into your Fallout 4 Data folder. File structure should be: Fallout 4\Data\sound\fx\mus\radio\diamondcity

2. Be sure your Fallout4.ini is edited to accommodate these changes. Edit the sResourceDataDirsFinal= to this:

sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\

Then check your Fallout4Prefs.ini and add the following line under [Launcher]

bEnableFileSelection=1

3. Start the game and enjoy the music.

---UNINSTALL---

Simply remove the file structure sound\fx\mus\radio\diamondcity or delete the diamondcity file.
