In Fallout 4 some food items have 2 variants - Pre and Post War. The Pre War versions are presented on a clean package and most notably, does not inflict radiation damage on the sole survivor when ingested. This mod was created aiming towards adding one more distinction to the Pre War food - The "Preserved" prefix, so now all the pre war food will be grouped together nicely on your pip boy or container. Bethesda had already added the Preserved prefix to Instamash, but for some reason the other pre war food items didn't receive the same treatment:
