I know what it is like to build a skyscraper...I am starting to build one at the farm base west of Concord...takes a long time.

It is, especially if the skyscraper is wide as well as tall. Luckily I have elevators, and now they might not be as tall as I'd like but they do the trick. I don't want to overdo it. It would be idiotic to have a 100 story skyscraper at Spectacle Island. It feels like the island will sink because of it. The island is big only if you're planning on putting shacks there...but a skyscraper?

Looks like its coming along nicely, I like the little spice-ups like the in-closed pond with the stairs.

Thank you. The problem with the pool is I can't remove those shrubs. They're one of those shrubs that are just...idk...like the sand on the beach. They're not modifiable. That means they are inside buildings too, like the shacks. It's a bit messy right now but hopefully in a few weeks it all comes together.

you use build everywhere? what i try to do is build a taller foundation so that the grass and such doesn't cut through the floor, maybe can do that with the pull the pool too idk though xD.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't really build a foundation for the shacks - except the ones that overhang - I put a shack foundation for them which is basically a Baba Yaga style standing house, similar to what you'd find in coastal villages in New England, so they stand above the water.

I completely forgot about Scrap Everything. I think I can get rid of the shrubs in the pool with those. I already got rid of the shrubs near the shacks. All I need to do now is take out a part of the pool, take out of the shrub, then put the pool back together as well as the water into it.

On a seemingly unrelated note, I noticed that doing two story treehouses might be a little bit too much. They kind of blur out the tree and look ugly and that they're going to collapse the whole tree at any moment. I'm just gonna make most of the tree houses 1 story now.

It is. I wish now they made a mod where you can turn off the snapping mechanism too. My base would move much faster that way. I could literally just spam things into the place and I'd be finished in 1/4 of the time. The only thing close to it is I saw a Youtube video of this guy looking at the ground when he slowly puts things together, which I guess kind of reduces the time it takes to put some tricky pieces by 50 percent or so. They say the mechanism is hard coded into the game but... Well, I don't know. Who knows.

I recommend using transfer settlement instead of saves games. also "eventually" posting the required mod list shouldn't be an option

I killed two stones with one bird. I posted my mod list in the form of Appdata text files for vanilla Fallout 4 users. Transfer Settlement will eventually happen. Eventually. Maybe tomorrow. That's extra fiddling I have to do to make sure it works. There's a lot of stuff there so I highly doubt it's going to work but...it won't hurt to try and figure out how to use it since that's what's in trend right now. I figured I'd leave it for later and post a save game instead because it's still a very much work in progress, like it says in the title. Hence why the saved game instead of the transfer settlement blueprint. In between the oil lamplights, the stone paths, and just noticing that half of my building needs support at the bottom, meaning I'll have to move my power pylons around and disconnect all the wires at the bottom of the building, possibly breaking my power grid for good, Transfer Settlements will eventually be on my list of things to do.

transfer settlement is currently high developed and does most of it work itself. you just have to click import and export and it scans and saves everything itself you just have to sit back and wait. I have scanned and saved my settlements which have almost 25k objects placed so I think you will be fine

That's perfect! I was wondering how it worked. Ok let's try that now and see how well it works.
