Long time no post. Just for a heads up I have mostly moved on from Fallout 4 and am not doing any active modding anymore.
The most recent version of this mod changes synths to basic stormtroopers and gives institute personnel imperial uniforms made by retextured synth jumpsuits with imperial rank patches. There are a couple of versions of those from Pee-on to Director.
No railroad changes are in the most recent version as those were all made with older versions of Commonwealth Stormtroopers and I never got around to updating it. Sorry. The mod works for the most part with some known bugs like Vats targeting on limbs being an issue on the synths. Someone (not me) uploaded a version to Xbox that I've tried and seems to work just find and I am OK with that but I have no control over it just as an FYI but it's great that more people can play with it so it's cool with me they uploaded it there. If anyone wants to take it over and make it better I'm cool with that. You of course need to get permission from the author of commonwealth Stormtroopers who was nice enough to give me permission to make this in the first place.
UPDATE 9/6/2020: Quick upgrade for Version 2 of Commonwealth Stormtroopers. Now will require that mod to be downloaded and activated above this in your load order as it uses that as a master. All other versions and patches are to be considered outdated. If you do absolutely want them they are still in the old files section but will require you to use the older less stable version fo Commonwealth Storm trooper. I was gone for a bit and didn't realize this mod was outdated due to CWST changes. This is a quick fix and does not have all the assets of the previous version and will LIKELY NOT WORK UNLESS YOU START A NEW GAME WITH IT. There are no courser or Railroad Armors or changes to any of those actors as I just quickly made a version that add regular stormtrooper armor to the synths. Some synth actor records are edited in order to get some variety with Pouches /Kama's/backpacks ect. As a result the synths will be wearing the same armor you can make and it should be able to be upgraded/changed as per the CW ST mod. This still contains my Imperial Institute uniforms for the other staff in the Institute.
Because I removed all changes to coursers and railroad heavies my cammo armor textures are not in there anymore. I still have them though which I suppose might work as a replacer if anyone wants them. I haven't had time to test them on the new meshes yet but all my old files are still there just moved down into the dumpster area if anyone wants to pull them out and try. Feel free to do so.
Made a second option of Synth Troopers version 2 where the Human Imperial uniforms will be in the clothing dressers around the Institute and Fallon's merchant chest in case you want them before or if you lost access to the Institute. This is just a quick option as a way to get the items as I don't have time to rebuild the mod from scratch right now. Yes it's a bit silly that you will find a directors uniform in other people's clothing dressers. Just pretend they are a bunch of backstabbers looking for their day to take over.
I have some vacation time in October. Maybe then I will have a bit more time to add a better option. (no promises)
too bad the Imperial Officer uniforms are not standalone lol, I am making the BoS and MM into a Galactic Sith Empire (IK IK they are the good guys, but the sith are better and i hate the institute lol)
I wanted to ask for permissions to add a version of the mod with the Synths' names being changed to different "stormtrooper" and imperial ranks for further Star Wars immersion. It's something I've already done and finished for personal use. Additionally, I'd like to ask about permissions to try and update the mod for FCOM 3.11 so that the troopers aren't using vanilla weapons (replaced with standardized E-11 blaster rifles instead) and they don't use any vanilla synth armor, but rather base stormtrooper armor with additional pauldrons or backpacks based on rank/position.
EDIT: If you could message me on Discord or directly on here with Nexus, I'm more likely to respond faster. And if anyone else has insight or direction on these things, feel free to message me as well. Thank you! Discord name: Tarathyl #5480 (if hashtag is still required)
Sorry yea. I've kind of moved on from Fallout 4 and am not doing any more modding at the moment. I am only checking here on a lark today because a friend and I were just talking about this mod.... The newest version only changes the institute since CWST updated and I had to make a quick update to use the new assets. If you don't mind using older versions of that mod you can still use older versions of this mod that have the railroad changes too but that has meshes with the armor that has more bugs.
Seriously if anyone wants to take it over and can get permission from the guy who made commonwealth stormtroopers I am good with that.
Basic fact is. The most recent version of this mod works but only changes synths to basic stormtroopers and institute personal to my imperial uniforms which are just retextured synth jump suits with imperial rank patches. No other changes. You need commonwealth stormtroopers installed for it to work as it uses those assets for the synth troopers.

But I don't care, they look great. And I have a lightsaber XD
So no railroad and institute worker changes?
Or is it that you just haven't updated those?
