Dying of stomach cancer, Raul Julia took on the role simply because his kids loved the game, I loved how he hammed it up in that role too, such fantastic delivery in that dialog.
It is tremendously bad, good comedy, I mean Van Damme and his accent with the USA tattoos, there's something authentic "Engrish" about that, compared to his mush mouthed sounding Japanese accent in the Alpha games.
